Спорт

In this video i touch on multiple tips to help you hit up with your driver. This will not only lead to longer catty distances but also a more optimized ball flight and better strike consistency..

This explanation has honestly been SUPER helpful...I have struggled with driver recently and it's BECAUSE I have tried to move it back in my stance. I appreciate you giving me the "OK" to play it super far forward off that left toe. Great stuff!

Thanks for putting me on to this Alex. With driver two main issues I have is my hips move too quick for my arm swing, which leaves the face open and the other issue has been negative attack angle. I put the tee higher as well, which has helped. I have to work on both. I probably need to be fit properly for a driver but it's hard to know who to trust. I wish there was a book available on how to understand the various readings on a Trackman. I feel like that could be almost a 1/2 day workshop.

@@markshepherd2779 not sure who Alex is? 😂 But if you know you have a negative angle of attack I would make sure this is sorted before getting fitted for a driver. If you are trying to optimise your launch and spin numbers then a driver will only be able to help you a very small amount (if at all) if you are still hitting down on the ball. So definitely get this sorted before getting fitted 👌 I have lots of videos where I custom fit people for drivers, irons etc. in all of these videos we talk in depth about numbers. Watching a few of these will give you more than enough info and understanding about the numbers. Its pretty simple in all honesty 👍

@@markshepherd2779 plus the readings on TrackMan will differ to the system we use (in terms of delivery characteristics) of you're getting fitted inside I'd always recommend to use the Foresight GC Quad

This worked for me. Gained yardage and accuracy. Was steep before. Tee it up pretty high and forward to warm up and back it down on the tee when ready to play.

Nice video Ross, I hit some 10+ deg up at my fitting with you. Remember the more +ve AoA the more out to in the path so need to compensate (D-Plane theory). PS I have a Callaway driver weight of yours that I forgot to return, I'll bring it back on the next fitting :)

Cheers ross always good to be reminded of setup basics but got a question, with the ball being forward, at address, where should the driver shaft be pointing, at belly button, at arm pit ?

Amazing video. Exactly what I’m working on this off season. Frustrating with 109mph club speed and only around 265 carry. Descending blow and slightly outside in path. Hopefully by March I can get an ascending blow and neutral path.

You issue is probably in the hips. I bet anything you are moving towards the ball with a right hip or early extension.

good video. been altering my driver swing right now. i struggle to hit down myself when i try i can get it down to about 1 degree up and top end about 8 degree up but what is optimal ? i find if am trying to hit up my strike is to low in face and creates excessive spin

With a massive wide stance and leaning your centre of gravity far behind the ball, how do you not keep hitting the ground with the driver?

Wouldn't go too crazy with the wide stance, especially if you are struggling with hitting the floor. And the key is to maintain the spin angle and not let your head go back anymore in transition. A lot of people when they start tilted the head drops even further back during the swing and that moves low point down and back causing you to hit the floor. So try and maintain spine angle and head position more throughout the swing, don't let your head go back, and just try and turn through it with those angles

Do you have more weight on your trail leg, most instructors say No, and I disagree with them, doing this helps you get through the ball and swing more to the right, your thoughts...

I think it will be different for everyone tbh. For me yes I start with more weight back and if you're trying to hit up more I think that's the right thing to do
