A brilliant actor, Boycie was a truly iconic character. John Challis has left a fine legacy.

The Driscoll Brothers are some of the best casting in the entire series. As soon as they enter you can feel a shiver down your spine

They played the role of intimidating London gangsters well, but funny at the same time, like the little brother Tony being such a nutcase he wanted to kick down the door when he can just open it 😂
No one.could have played Boycie like John Challis. A legend.
Season 6 as a whole is just an absolute masterpiece.
Couldn't stop laughing when Trigger hit the button on the phone giving away Del Boys whereabouts XD

Then you obviously don’t know much about OFAH then as their has been far better moments like the episodes with then card game or in the episode with the gold chains, or the diamonds or when Slater comes back

I always liked that even though Trig had nothing to do with the gangsters, when they want a word with Del on his own Trig doesn't go until Del makes him. Good pal.

So late 80's. Can hear Neneh Cherry Buffalo Stance in the background. I was so lucky to be a kid when this show was in its prime and there was a new timeless hit song being written every week

You can almost feel the pressure of that finger being brought down on Michael's hand.
I have seen these shows so many times, I know exactly what’s going to happen and I still end up laughing. That’s comic genius.

They never fail to make me smile, they all play such a good part. Boycie and his laugh, sad he has gone. "I know you was cheating Boycie, cos they was not the cards I dealt you", loved that interchange.

What made this so more realistic and great is the fact boyce is so tight.. everyone has that one mate who would jump at a chance for something free

Only Fools and Horses was massively successful for years and years. What makes you think this particular episode wasn't liked by people? You're just copying other people's inane comment, aren't you? Do you think you'll ever have an original thought?

@@markfox1545 Mate calm down, this episode is never in the top 20 sometimes not even top 30 on any greatest episode list. Hardly any people ever mention this episode when talking about great episodes and as I said it never gets in any of the countdowns of best episodes.

One of the best UK sitcoms of the 90's.. I was born in the 90's and I miss it and the early 2000's.
When our boycie reached the gates of heaven he instantly said large cognac please Michael ❤
this along with fr ted will keep people entertained for years to come....both are class shows
I like how throughout the series they build the Driscoll brothers up and they certainly didn't disappoint
Great comedy just gets better with age. Awesome.

😂 The younger Driscoll brother was a nutcase. Sullivan obviously based them off the Kray twins but with great comedy thrown in. Their old man smashed himself to death on his prison ceiling 😂

Still hard to believe these characters were written for Anthony Hopkins. He was a massive fan of the show and agreed to be in an episode due to his love for the show. When John Sullivan wrote this episode he wrote the character Danny for Hopkins. Unfortunately due to conflicts in his schedule he couldn't get the time to film it.

Funny because my name is Danny, my dad's is Tony. Also My dads dad was called Albert , and his dad ( Irish ) came from New Cross and did a milk round in Peckham. My dad's best friend at school name is Rodney , and.....my mothers maiden name is Trotter . Yep , this show means a lot to me

Back in the 80's we had a couple of characters just like the Driscoll brother's in our local. One of them always had his right hand tucked inside his coat, like he had a gun i suppose. This, in a village pub in the middle of sleepy Hertfordshire. Looking back they were about as tough as a wet paper bag. Embarrassing really.
