Great coverage reliving that blissful snowy push! I was the guy that pushed onward a bit after bivying overnight at strawberry. Wanted to give it a go but no groomed snow! I’ll be back and tks for capturing one hell of a ride

Hey John- good work on the Drift races. I’m attempting my first go at the 13mile this year with intent to build to the 100. My biggest question: water! How are you keeping enough? What carrying device(s) are you using on the 100? Thanks!

Great question. The race requires you to bring a minimum amount of water containers. I use insulated water bottles and then keep them inside of a pack to keep them from freezing. The check stations also provide water (about every 25 miles). For the 100 you are required to bring a stove in case you need to melt snow. I have not had to melt any snow so far. I have used a camelpak water bottle.
