Roy and HG were the best part of the olympics. I was just a kid but I remember at the end of each exciting day of competition I used to stay up late with my folks laughing to these legends

I'm from Brisbane Australia and remember watching this every night during the 2000 Olympics. This really tied everything together and made it special. Athletes were privileged to receive the unofficial Olympics game mascot, "Fatso, the fat-arsed Wombat", presented by Roy and HG for services rendered. What a time to be alive it was. Bring on 2032 Olympics Brisbane.

I remember the American runner who had an absolute blast doing an interview on ‘The Dream’. And, Fatso made it on to one of the stamps from the swimming team gold.

It was must watch viewing for the whole of the Olympics in Sydney & Athens. What a brilliant time it was and how lucky we were to enjoy it 🥰🥰

This was LITERALLY the only olympics i ever watched or ever will. Best year ever.

@@nathancooper1 The rest are just boring as fuck, they made it fun. It's not like we don't know who will win every year, the country allowed to jam the most competitors in. It's a fucking joke when you think about it. It's like playing soccer/football where you have 12 players or less ad other countries get to have 40 on the field lol

One of the best shows on tv during the Olympic. I would skip all the other highlights and watched this instead. Fun, uplifting and totally Australian.

Classic, classic comedy and comedians. "Hello Boys" and "Battered Sav"....absolute gems! I watched every one of their shows each night during the Olympics and bought the DVD set several years later. Thank God we have such clever people as Roy and HG. :D

I've had a terrible day, but reliving these moments made it all better :)

I would bet it as awful. These two went woke as fuck like the rest of the left. The humour in this video, great as it is, is derisive, racist, homophobic and sexualises gymnastics.

No. A "hello boys" is a horizontal speady. A "speady to the gods" is a vertical spready.

A little lacking in the "Hello Boys" however the and "It's not me/Close the door" and "The Battered Savs" were generously served.
