The chateau is so lucky to have you both looking after it.

I can't even fathom putting that floor back togrther, let alone sewing those curtains. I'm in awe of both skillsets!

When you are lucky enough to find such perfect matches as you have with the fringe Carol, I think it’s meant to be.👌👏

Designers always say that you need to have a touch of black in every room to help anchor the room. Great choice with the rug! ❤️😊

Adrian when we had a new oak floor laid the guy who laid it saved the sawdust and mixed it with the first coat of lacquer to fill any gaps. Then remanded and relaquered, this might solve the wood worm holes.

LOVE the gold rug. The black in it will be a wonderful contrast to all the white and gold already in the room. Can't wait for you to show it on the floor.

I saw the rug down with furniture but Carole removed it. I loved it@! Maybe she just temporarily removed rug. It will be MAGNIFICENT,!! That rug will look Amazing offsetting the gold. Will pop very nice with beige gold furniture!!!🫶👌

Isn’t it just awesome to go shopping with Terry! Makes me smile. Great brocante. Adriane that floor is amazing, a real jigsaw puzzle. Quite a combination of Carole and Terry. Always nice to look at things.. just don’t touch cuz then it’s going home with you, kind of like a puppy. I’m so enjoying the final touches of the salon . Adrian no one would begrudge either of you ‘another’ or more holidays after the year of dedicated and concentrated restoration work you have both had. You and Carole have so much self motivation and keep on keeping on!❤️

That floor is going to be absolutely beautiful Adrian. Its a shame Carole is going to hide it with that great carpet that goes perfectly with the drapes. This room is coming together nicely and will be breathtaking.

The best way to start the week here in Australia is watching Carole , Adrian and now Terry

Everything that Terry picks out at any furniture store I like back to the chair that can be Terry’s when he comes over for a cup of tea on cold winters day

Carol and Adrian, I thought the dining room was a massive success, however, the Salon is becoming an epic accomplishment. The gilding and parquet floor are gorgeous though monumentally labor intensive. Just boggles my mind watching you complete the renovations.

That was fun with Terry at the Brocante. I’m loving the curtains Carole and the tassel trim

Oh, that carpet is just exquisite...M-M-M..wow. What a perfect addition to the Salon...Terry has impeccable taste.

The parquet flooring is going to be stunning when done with all the hard work done!!!

Wow! Absolutely amazing. I think of the time, effort, skill, Knowledge, desire and most of all drive that it takes to even entertain this beautiful restoration. I didn’t even mention expense. It is overwhelming!!! I love the humor used, pleasant bantering and polite warmness needed to have a great success ! Thanks!

Terry living vicariously through Carole because Ashley just wouldn’t allow all this crazy shopping 😂 I love everything and you just blame it on Terry.

I loved Carol sitting sewing the drapes, in the background the beautiful mirror and reflection, then Adrian putting the puzzle together on the floor…it’s looking marvelous. The shopping trip was right on…rug does add dimension…happy you are enjoying yourselves once again..yeah team❤

That rug was an incredible price!

A word of advice....I've spent 50 years restoring my maison de maitre and there is no such thing as perfection...so were take joy is the elements that we've saved for future generations.

While Carole and Terry melt your credit card Adrian, I hope you can complete the floor to your exacting standards in spite of the missing pieces and wood rot.

I think shopping with Terry has to be a lot of laughs and good fun. Carole, you can tell Adrian how many thousands of Euro’s you’re saving by sewing the curtains yourself. If you had to pay someone to do what you are doing it would cost a fortune, so that justifies spending more on the furnishings! Adrian the jigsaw puzzle of floors are going to be your masterpiece. I hope the carpet won’t cover too much of it. I can’t wait to see it all pulled together. xx

I want to go shopping with Carole and Terry. That rug and material are both perfect for the salon. Love the gold chair, too. Carole, your curtains will look awesome. My sister in law is a seamstress, and she would be in envy of all that beautiful material.

The rug is perfect

That rug is fabulous for the Salon along with the chair , the gold type curtain s need a fabric the same colour but in satin, that would be neat . I watch Terry channel too he has a very good eye for design and colour , it's great that u share a passion for detail ,,,,u only live one have fun . ❤❤❤

That rug for the salon is great, will add depth, life and texture, yay! And what an amazing match that fringing!

First off, I love both rugs. The larger gold and black one is more noteworthy because we know exactly where it's intended to go. The way you've decorated that room so far, makes it a perfect choice. The room will come to life. If there are any acoustical issues in such a large room, they'll be greatly diminished once the carpet, drapes and furniture are in place. I can't wait. It does seem a shame to cover the fruits of Adrian's labor. However, it was a forgone conclusion that you would ultimately cover the floor. I love Terry and his entire clan. I'm so glad that they're close by, as are the Pethericks. I really liked the carving on the chair too. You make excellent choices.
