The Dream of a Ridiculous Man by Fyodor Dostoevsky

"The Dream of a Ridiculous Man" is a short story by Fyodor Dostoevsky, first published in 1877. The story unfolds as a confessional monologue from a melancholic, misanthropic narrator who believes his existence is without purpose or value. However, That night, the narrator falls into a deep sleep and experiences a vivid dream that becomes the centerpiece of the story. In this dream, he is transported to a utopian world, an Earth-like planet untouched by human corruption and suffering.

What a Bounty of metaphysical, philosophical and spiritual, mystical knowledge lays in this story one can hardly grasp and not express with words. Except that the writer can - and the reader honors that as much as the listener should too.

Being usual is just fine. It may make the unusual more common. I definitely agree that facts are more important than feelings, but dreams and other ways of attaining truth can help with feelings and emotions.
