Yea unfortunately it’s just gonna get worse. Santa Barbara is a gorgeous place but it is a finite resource. We need a few less wine tasting rooms and boutique high fashion and some more industry

$8k a month is a house payment with shop and acreage here in Central Valley CA... and extra money for the power bill... And you'd be putting money towards owning the property not just throwing it away on rent... Don't get rushed into a grave of debt, try to be as smart as you can. Have you looked into Santa Paula or Ventura areas as well? My family is from those areas and its a little cheaper for rent/real estate and isn't far from your location now.

I'm sure you come sell out and move to Montana and have an awesome shop, house, and property.

Totally understand why would you live in California it’s great hear. And yes you do have those downer parts . I wish you well and pretty soon I will look you up to possibly help me gets some parts for my k5.

I’ve got a question would you be able to build a set but budget friendly axles so it’d make sense shipping them to the east coast? I don’t have any fabrication tools. With the cost of living and being the only income in my house my suburban project is looking further and further out of reach. I’m pretty much switching gears and looking to just convert my 10 bolt into a 8 lug and install this 14 bolt full float that I’ve acquired. I messed up when I bought it because it’s a C&C axle. I had zero knowledge when I bought it so now I’ve gotta figure out what I’ve gotta do to make it work on my 1500. Wanted to do a legit 1 ton build but I can’t afford everything up front so I’m just piece by piece building it. I’m definitely gonna try and order some parts from you in the future. I just hope you haven’t closed up shop by the time I’ve gotten to that point.

Move to Texas or Florida. California is old news.
