If Bini keeps racking up points, placing high in sprints or winning, he's going to take home the green jersey and it will be well deserved.

So we had a record of distance remaining until we got within 1 km? Then it switches to elapsed time? What genius thought that was a good idea? That is exactly when we want to see how many meters are left to anticipate the riders going. Makes zero sense. Nobody cares about elapsed time at that point.

It's because they can't really get good GPS data from these big sprints. They get those distance remaining numbers by tracking the lead motors GPS, which can't get anywhere close in these big fast sprint finishes. That's why you often see it in mountaintop or breakaway finishes, the lead moto can be much closer to the leaders without causing issues with the riders.

When discussing the truth, it's important to highlight that Philippe's actions in the intermediate sprint were dangerous. He closed in on Biniam and didn't sprint in a straight line. His sprints often appear emotional and erratic. While I don't want to blame him personally, this kind of behavior is hazardous in racing and can lead to severe accidents, not just crashes. It's concerning that commentators did not address this issue, not even in Biniam's interview. This oversight is unfair. Sports analysts have a responsibility to ensure the safety of all riders. Negligent actions should be called out to prevent potential injuries. Ensuring fair and safe racing conditions should be a priority for everyone involved in the sport
