Ya me too wasn't looking forward at all to taking a 5,000 dollar trip to the dealer

Usually takes a few tank fulls of treated fuel, it will help if u catch a sticky injector early. Should be running it in every tank full. Specially on new stuff and California fuel

Dad bobcat with bad fuel, couldn't get fuel filter, put diesel clean, got running at full throttle, saved me. Also same thing on my Cummins

White bottle is for winter

I pour it in at the fuel station and top off to agitate it. Injectors on a Duramax is a nightmare. Water pumps aren't handy either.

Has the Duramax issue been solved? It's been a couple of weeks since you posted this video.

Well I put a solid 600 heavy miles on it I thought it was fixed but went back into limp mode 😔 ordered some stuff. Sadly there is gonna be a part 2 of this video

I reeeaaaaally want to powerwash my engine compartment too, I have a diesel as well. Ive always been too nervous to do it because I don't want to mess anything up. Would you be willing to do a video on how you go about it? I know it might seem like a stupid ask but I need my truck too and don't want to do anything the wrong way and screw it up haha

As long as you keep the air filter and alternator dry everything else is safe to get wet

Check out Cfarmer on you tube. Sounds like it just needs a new injector wiring connector. He has replaced almost all of his. Very common on duramax.

So I've run it hard twice now and still runs like a champ. Hopefully, it keeps on cranking

@@Mr_Get_Muddy my injectors only have 2 wires, hot and ground. No mechanical problem will show up. I'm intermittently dumping fuel and injectors all passed testing but one was on the limit. I listened to all of them at idle and they sounded good, but my problem is under load. I did a resistance check and they all passed but one took longer to stabilize on resistance and this is the borderline one. So my best guess is that, but I would like a better way to be sure.

Probably the injector wiring harness.

My tank has a flap on it, where it then has like a 1in gap to the hose to the tank. next time I catch up with you I’ll show ya, but I’ve got to use a funnel.

I put diesel kleen in my tank every time I fill up and have had no injector issues

So that injector is not 100% might be 60%. So after all that work I would have just bit the bullet and replaced it but OK lets go ahead . Lets take it for a ride.

DIRECTIONS: Add entire contents (26 ounces) to 100 gallons of diesel fuel. For maximum cetane boost and quicker fuel injector clean-ups, add entire contents (26 ounces) to 50 gallons of diesel fuel. This product is to be added to the fuel. DO NOT ADD TO THE DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID TANK.

Should have taken all of your injectors off sense you were that far into it,take into a machine shop and 😂they’ll clean them for you. Or Napa or shook’s

As per the engineering papers, 90% of diesel fuel will not meet minimum requirements in your new gen diesel. Let’s all complain about govt. big oil. Big whatever. Or. Don’t start your engine without the proper fuel in your tank

So i plugged my little scanner in, and the code it gave me told me it was injector #4. Long story short, gonna be a follow-up video. The truck ran great for about 600 miles and then went belly up again. im actually gonna work on it again in a day or two, but I definitely think it's an electrical problem.

I did end up putting a new pigtail and splicing it into the wiring harness and thats what fixed the problem
