It's funny how they're dragon hunters, yet they have served men with dragon souls throughout history. The dragonborns all conquer and rule, because they have the exact same nature that the dragons have, to rule others and reign supreme.

Good point, pretty much every single Dragonborn we know of in the history of Tamriel was a conquering warrior who built some kind of an empire. Yet, the blades rush to their service while being hostile towards dragons.

Well the Blades post-Great War are simply put, a reconstituting shadow of their former selves, I mean at this point all their bases were burned, along with their records (at least the ones the Thalmor didn't decide to keep for their own ends) and all the greatest fighters they had are either in hiding for good or dead. I'd say if the Blades come back, they're going to be almost nothing like their predecessors since all but two of them would know how to teach new recruits how to be them.

yeah it's unlikely that they could even regain a fraction of their former power. esbern is the only one with some significant knowledge left but his advanced age prevents him from passing on much of this knowledge. though the sky temple could contain some of their original knowledge, it's just unlikely that much of it could be passed on. esbern again could translate the murals and decipher their meaning though delphine can't. their organization is built around the fact of the ultimate dragon hunter and serving him. in other words you, in skyrim. you kill alduin for god's sake the ultimate dragon. shouldn't that stand for something? i also don't like the fact that they want you to kill paarthurnax. i mean there is no bloody point to it. he has lived in isolation on top of the throat of the world for hundreds of years. it's extremely unlikely he'll kill another person, even if he was cruel in the past. and is the only one of the dovah who willingly passes on his knowledge to humans.

@@fumarc4501, that's not gonna go well. The last contact Tamriel had with Akavir was one of the Septim emperor's invading. (It failed miserably, resulting in his death) Lastly from what we know humans on Akavir are wiped out now, Taesci, lion things, monkeys, giant snow demons, and something else are the last species on Akavir. Taesci are the lizard humanoid things, probably evolved from the humans maybe, cause their culture is the same with the Dragonguard.

I believe that the blades will be iradicated entirely and there will be a new faction that will serve under the dovakin of the 4th era. I have reason to believe that dovakin will be a part of a dlc for elder scrolls 6 and he will most likely be the emperor or the high king. Not saying that it will be the truth, just saying that it's most likely. Delphine and esbern will probably be killed by the dovakin or the thalmor and the greybeards will most likely train the dovakin further in order for him to be in tune with the way of the voice. He will grow old and tired and in elder scrolls 6 he will probably be in his 70s or 80s and will be a mentor of sorts for the main character. I hope that they do something similar to this because I would love to see the dovakin as an emperor like tiber septim was. I would also like to see a faction underneath him serving him like the blades did for tiber septim.

Yes. I LOVE that mod and am considering it canon for my head canon Dragonborn
If the 4th Era Skyrim blades know you are Dragonborn then they should try to make you Emperor. That is the only correct response if they are true to themselves.
The katana was my favorite sword in Skyrim. It sucked they didn't have any real powerful ones. So I upped my blacksmithing and improved my katana as best I could.

Hooray I'm gonna have something to watch in my bath after work lol
I wish you could complete the main quest, tell the blades dragons are no longer a threat and basically establish the thalmor as priority #1. (I personally have a fantasy of the blades sacking the embassy while the dragon im riding burns the retreating elves)
Agree, the skyrim blades felt "lame" compared to the oblivion one,tho if i'm being honest i feel like the were just "tack-on" and did not even get a chance to evolve/develop as characters in the game....i just ended up not caring about them.
I can't totally explain why but I've always loved the blades it's my favorite faction well that and mage related stuff but I think the blades of Skyrim are the blades but they need to be rebuilt and is good because they have the dragonborn to help with that they're not as good as they once was but they kind of are and the dragonborn will help them grow once again I love that faction the history the story is amazing I hope it continues in elder scrolls 6 I love it I want to see something really really good done with it better than ever before
I have another video idea for you, you should do one on ayleids or however you spell it love your channel bro
You get to rebuild the blades to be whatever you like. You can make them an insanely powerful group that acts as your own personal dragonguard if you do it right. Personally I prefer to side with the blades. I wouldn't say you serve them though, I'd say it's more that you're obligated to take out a huge portion of the dragons because that is your destiny and as they continue to rebuild in whatever happens post the events of the game they will celebrate you as they did Reman and Tiber as the dragonborn who put them back together and gave them purpose again. That's my take on it at least. They seem way more useful than they greybeards in my opinion.

Dragons or Samurai Cosplayers.... hmmm, choices.
Can you do a video on the early history of Elder Scrolls lore please ?
I have another idea for you, you should do one on the second Aldmeri Dominion
They are lame mate. I won't kill my dragon buddy. I mean who do you want on your side? 2 really old jerks who tell you what to do, even though they are sworn to serve you. Oh, and make you go out an gather the new recruits .Or the leader of a dragon flight who give you guidance, listens to you and rally other dragons to his cause.
I still have to this day, in my 5,000+ hours of Skyrim, in 100+ devoted play throughs, to kill pathurnax. Hes one of my most respected Video game characters in the fact that Hes done bad, terrible things, but redeemed himself by abandoning his fellow dragons, helping the freeing of men and teaching them the thu'um and secluding himself away from the worlds populous in order for them to prosper. Every day he denies his blood bound inherit dominance that every dragon has, and has the strength to endure it for the mellenia hes been on the throat of the world. Delphine is a fool for many reasons, but a flabbering Idiot to think Pathurnax is her enemy in a war that he himself ended.
I think they could have done so much more with them
How do you get the horned blades helmet I’ve been trying for years to figure it out
Agree about the current Blades. I AM THE DRAGONBORN!!!
I also have a werid feeling about the skyrim blades, cause they are lame, and the leader wont let you lead since you a the dragonborn, she's just like Astrid but lest killy

How do you get the horned blades helmet I’ve been trying for years
I love the blades I just don't support Delphine as leader, her and Astrid are in the same boat, absolutely no respect for the dragonborn, threatened by his/her superiority. Even in the mod the parothonaax delemma Delphine argues the dragon born up and down until you're forced to corner her with violence. Astrid the threatened by you when you become the listener, Delphine forces you to make a decision. If I had my way I'd demote them both immediately.
So were the dragonguard humans recruited by the Tsaesci (never remember the spelling) or were they originally Tsaesci themselves? Think that was the species that invaded tamriel at least. Fair chance I've got things about the dragonguard confused with unrelated lore about the akaviri though.

Let's not forget two things: 1: Delphine cheated her way through Ustengrav. How else could she have taken the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller? Yup, she has access to the Developer console and tc'd her way through. 2: How the holy shite did she know the Graybeards would send you there in the first place? That's some BS, right there. Sloppy storytelling, Bugthesda, sloppy.

The Blades are cool because Dragonborn him or herself decides the members. I think that killing that dragon must be done in the long run, I dislike the Greybeards that treat the Dragonborn like an idiot the whole time and they actually don't want to help they just love their little dragon so much it's pathetic.

What's pathetic is how blades fanboys overrate them for arbitrary reasons.
just remember that everyhting still happens if the dragonborn doesnt get involved the DB in oblivion is an example as one of lucien's Lines are "Have you heard the tale of matthieu bellamont and the great trenchery of cheydinal kill a boy's mother and vegence festures in the sun"
Holy Christ. Delphine survived where 1,000s of blades didn't. She rebuilt the Blades from nothing and found the last Dragonborne. This community is to hard on her. Fuck Parthnaxx

'Delphine survived where 1,000s of blades didn't' Which is about the only thing worth respecting about her. I'd respect that even more if she directed her hatred towards the thalmor instead of dragons. You know, the faction responsible for destroying the Blades in the first place. 'She rebuilt the Blades from nothing' No, she didn't. Her and Esbern wouldn't even reach Sky Haven temple without the dragonborn let alone being able to recruit new members. 'and found the last Dragonborne' Nope. She didn't even know who the Dragonborn was till the Greybeards acknowledged him/her. 'This community is to hard on her' For good reason; because she's unbearably stupid. 'Fuck Parthnaxx' You see, you think you sound all cool and edgy for going against popular opinion, but really you just come off cringe. These blades fanboys and their propaganda.
