The Downfall of Donut Media
Ойын-сауық
Recent HiLow series caused some controvery with the Subaru community and has people wondering if Donut Media is no longer an automotive channel; but an entertainment channel. In today's short, we talk a little about it and why you may want to cut them more slack than you think. But is Donut straying away from who they are or have they always been an entertainment channel?

100% I've been more surprised than not by how useful some if the Wish and Temu "junk" turned out to be. The truth of the matter is... if these "low production" reviews weren't getting hits, then they would have stop doing them LONG ago.
As a fan of donut media for many years now, I'd say they should bring back the up to speed and dive deep more about tuning shops in Japan like the RE Amemiya, JUN, Seeker, Top Fuel, FEED, Garage Mak, Car Shop Glow, J's Racing, Le Mans endurance racing, Wangan Midnight, Time Attack racing especially its origin which is located at Tsukuba Circuit and ofc, Best Motoring Official!!! I know that may sound a lot but atleast they should cover one of them hopefully at the very least tho!! The fact that donut media isn't one of those big channels building a car in a few days is why I like them so much. Average Joe car enthusiasts like me who are absolute gear heads but don't have 50 people at our disposal we can hire to build cars is what makes that channel feel more on a personal level. Even if the stuff I build is totally different from what they've built, I can still relate to them. That said I love their car product reviews. It takes a long time for them for the builds so in the meantime they produce the videos that they do and obviously it is doing quite well. Can't blame them and to me I see an overall improvement in all videos in regards to content and production quality
One of the few shows I watched was up to speed. I'm not left behind, I just left Donut behind.
The biggest problem I have with donut is they need to take their time. KZreads algorithm doesn't support it so I get the fact of them making filler just to pay the bills
I've watched them for some time now, but it's just fun to watch them do anything car related, even if it's reviewing stuff. Somehow bills gotta be paid 🙌 they're great people and i love watching them 🙌
I actually like their ‘we test so and so products’, it’s fun
Vice Grip Garage is the best. His content is so consistent and it’s always top tier, despite his success and monetization.

Dang my algorithm doesn't even push donut or their podcasts on me anymore. I'll go give em a watch!
I actually loved the diversity in their videos, and their sit down/react/compete videos are a nice break from their regular videos.
They definitely are not falling off
I miss the “getting up to speed” mini-documentaries on each car.
They really should bring back the good old Miata install builds at home, I enjoyed it. Or any builds of the same sort. They are doing the EG civic at the shop now but it’s not the same
I appreciate them taking they're time making great content
Donut has grown on me a lot. I remembered some of their early stuff and was not a fan but going back through 4h3 catalog of money pit and hi-low has been great. Stuff takes time, good stuff takes a lot of time. And cars and garages aren't cheap!
I like the videos that they made going through the history of cars
The donut team makes videos for everyone. From the professional to people with a passing interest. Not everyone has the knowledge of professionals and though I've spent the majority of my life working on cars and in the car world I like that they break everything down so that everyone can understand and review things that could save beginners time and money. I hate when people try to gatekeep something just because someone doesn't know as much as they do.
WHO TF IS SAYING THEY ARE “TOO GENERIC” ?!?! Good Chanel, favorite channel, people are cap
I like all there videos you get unique and car content it’s not just one thing 24/7 but every time u see a video it’s always something different so u never know what to expect
I love their videos and charisma they have together. I’ve been watching for years now. Their content will never be boring to me. Of course it’s sad we don’t get all built stuff. But I think when it’s all built stuff people are gonna get bored of it. They keep it fresh
Donut Media is part of my weekly routine shows, I wouldn’t stop watching them for anything because there content is still fire🔥
I love both sides of their content output.
