In many ways Celestine lives the life of an Astartes Dreadnought. Whenever she awakens to a new world, a new time and place all that wait for Her is endless War. Endlessly having to be that last hope and fight the most unwinnable fights.

Worse. A dreadnought doesn’t have to pull the bits and pieces of itself together in the warp before it can return to war.

The last major read Shroud of Night, she was told to surrender the boy to those Alpha Legion marines. Between that and the fight with Kharn, I could understand her feeling spent and just drained.

I wish more people would read that book. Not only because the kharn portions are fantastic, but to help put to rest some of the wild misconceptions and fan theories people have invented by reading it's plot synopsis.

As seen in that short story about the mountain of corpses, Celestine likely became the Emperor's chosen because she has the will to match. What will cannot be broken by a thousand thousand excruciating deaths? Celestine. A colleague, if you will, of the Emperor. If not in psychic ability, than in will. To call the Emperor's will to defy death and chaos indomitable is an understatement. To call Celestine a colleague is a stretch, but if not her faith, her will is absolute. And hey, game recognizes game.

I love the sisters when they’re told well. When they’re 100% the perfect and faithful servants it’s pretty boring, but when they’re written as humans with doubts and struggles that they overcome to remain faithful, they’re some of the most relatable characters in 40K. Most of the Celestine stories (that I’ve seen at least) make her the epitome of that, and has become one of my favorite characters up there with Dante! Great video and description of one of my favorite sisters moments

They need to send our beloved Angel to Armageddon to fight Angron. The Emperor's light burning Angron and igniting the loyal around them. We could even get a small conversation between Celestine (The Emperor) and Angron. Man would that be epic.

Probably not. That's why the Emperor will clear his mind for the conversation. We get a look at the man/Primarch was supposed to be. How he would be without the nails. Then it just pisses Angron off and throws him into such rage and despair, the only thing that can stop him is Celestine with the light of the Emperor.

The book Celestine wasn't all that great. The author does a weird dual story thing where every other chapter alternates between Celestine talking to herself (herselves?), and some random battles she appears in. We don't learn anything about her other than she seems to have multiple personalities 😅
