    Sun Dog it’s a compost pile, there’s bound to be worms around. And the ground was wet, sometimes they’d just pop out to breathe if that happens.

    Thank you for posting these videos! It helped to get rid of our mice problem. We thought there were about 3-4 max mice........10 mice later we're still catching a few but the problem of them destroying things is gone.

    What Tom made is basically a common game trap (using a branch or sapling for a spring). The problem is that this design is for single use. The parts are subject to wear and tear, so the"nunchuck" trigger won't function for very long.

    @@fidelcatsro6948 The introduction of house sparrows into the US is no doubt one of the worst ecological disasters to have ever happened to this country. They are not cute, they are monsters. They torture to death native birds and their chicks in order to steal nesting sites. Since they are a non-native invasive species, it is legal to kill house sparrows, and they should be killed at every opportunity.

    The trap is a bit too "Rube Goldberg" for my liking, but it does work. I still think you should 'dead fall' the possums and feed them to the turkey vultures in your area.

    No way, possums are what you want for maintenance around your property, they eat insects, rodents, and do a superb job of termite control. And they're harmless too. Keep feeding those opossums!

    @@MrUbiquitousTech Possums also kill & eat the babies of other animals (baby bunnies, kittens, and baby birds if the nest is close enough to the ground for them to reach). They're ugly & they stink. The only good possum is a "pancake possum", regularly seen flattened out on roads everywhere ... IMHO.
