The Doors channel is the official KZread home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.

I remember in the 70's, my brother introducing me to The Doors. My First reaction was why ain't they still doing it. He said because he's Dead! That Hit Hard.

Love The DOORS; such a beautiful band and sound. Their music never ages could listen to them every day.
My favorite song by The Doors was "Indian Summer", but I hadn't listened to this band for a long time. I am an extreme reader of Hakan Günday and while reading his book "Zargana" today, I came across a sentence such as "Jim Morrison - "The End" was playing". I wrote "The Doors" with hearts next to the page of the book and listened to The Doors again, after a long time. And on the same day, he shared a song on The Doors channel. I feel very happy when things that I loved but forgot sometimes suddenly come across like this and I remember them again ❤️🩹

From one of the greatest debut albums of all time. I remember finding this 2 years ago, my sophomore year of high school and falling in love with it. It took me to a different world. My friend circle at the time didn't understand and as we separated they didn't really respect me, but I found a new circle that loves this music. Truly, Jim is a genius.

i only disagrees with Jim being a genius, he wasnt. read wonderland avenue by Danny sugerman and you see a perspective of the jim that isnt so great but still accurate to the character that was him. great book if you love the doors and iggy pop
The way he sings "I found an island in your arms, country in your eyes" brings it a little much needed contrast in my opinion
Legends never die. Jim was simply reincarnated as the embodiment of what 60s rock music was all about.
I prefer the gritty edgy lo-fi sound on this video, fits the vibe and feeling of the times probably

This band got better with every album. They (Robby, Ray and John) were at peak musicianship when Jim went to Paris even if his voice got a bit rough - he still was great. These guys had a lot of gas in the tank who knows what would have been recorded.
I always loved the song Peace Frog. Jim's voice is so compelling and intriguing. As soon as I heard it for the first time, I immediately fell in love with The Doors.
I remember being a kid playing Tony Hawk underground 2 and hearing this gem come on. It brings back such great memories
All the volcanic émotions of Jim's voice are so sublime, tears flow from my soul when i hear it. The Doors were unique, irreplacable.
When i heard this track for the first time as a teenager in the early 2000's, I was totally amazed 😺👍. Jim Morrison is a legendary singer ✌️. Definitely one of the best tracks 🎵🎶 from a legendary debut album. 😺👍

The Doors 1967 - The Birth of Rock
The doors have a very special place in my heart
know the day destroys the night Night divides the day Tried to run Tried to hide Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side, yeah We chased our pleasures here Dug our treasures there But can you still recall The time we cried Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Yeah C'mon, yeah Everybody loves my baby Everybody loves my baby She get high She get high She get high She get high, yeah I found an island in your arms Country in your eyes Arms that chain us Eyes that lie Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through, ow Oh, yeah Made the scene Week to week Day to day Hour to hour The gate is straight Deep and wide Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through Break on through Break on through Break on through Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This song caused me to break on through to the other side and then while visiting the strawberry fields, I learned that nothing is real! I'm just a rainbow in the dark and life is a simple game. While doing time in the universal mind, I spent lots of time in my Soul Kitchen. I can see clearly now the rain is gone. There are realms of bliss and realms of light at the end of the night. Now, I'm Blue and have a blue house with a blue window; inside and outside. Most humans couldn't read the signs, signs, everywhere the signs and therefore don't realize it's the final countdown.
Master piece, from a top level band. Bravo!
