no body made more money during this era on the north east coast than the Dominican and Jamaicans ...the proof is in where they live at today and the amount of legal business they own in the TRI state area.. Jamaican didn't do the numbers the Dominicans did, but today Dominicans are the main force in the business community in the NYC tri state Hispanic population.. they own business from NJ to Massachusetts business like restaurants bodegas barber shops flat fix shop gas stations cab companies bus companies supermarkets car dealerships mechanic shops shipping and export businesses....got mad respect for them peoples hustle ...oh and they got some of the finest women on the planet...

1990 in the Bronx I was a member of the yellow top crew (The Wise Guyz). I went by the name of L Nitty, the Enforcer & Manager. I controlled everything. When the red top Dominicans (the wild cowboys) killed my homie Amp Gone but never forgotten, That was fucked up, That was not gangster to kill innocent people & tell us we can't work there. It was our block & we wanted in, so we started getting money, plus we had a lot of guns to protect ourselves after that episode. You will think I learned my lesson from that but when my bestfriend Gerard heard snitched on me because he saw me doing better than him & got me locked up. So after i finished my 5 years probation, I moved to Florida and got a job, but when they did a background check in all states, they found out I had a felony in New York & fired me. I went back to the streets & did what I knew best. I got into the weed game & got shot in the face & neck because they wanted to rob me. I was in the hospital for a month. I'm 52 years old now, so the past was the past it is what it is because I sleep well at night, thank God I'm out the streets, I'm not a Rat. (YTELL) & I'm not in jail. So after that, I quit the game & and stopped hanging out with people from the block or in that life & started taking care of my mom who is 73 years old from 2010 to the present. I only hang with people who live productive lives. No more street shit with me. It takes for me to get snitched on & shot to learn my lesson... True story!

Two Manhattan grand juries cleared the police. Virtually all evidence pointed against Garcia. Even Dr. Michael Baden, the medical examiner hired by the family, came to the same conclusions, to include trajectory, blood spatter, distance, etc. Sorry things didn't work out for your convicted drug dealer, the one whose mommy swears he wasn't into drugs. Same guy who had cocaine in his system.

I remember the Jheri Curl Gang walking the streets in those days. I was in the 5th grade I believe. One of them walked into the Dominican food spot at 156 Amsterdam avenue, this a woman commented on his long curls, so he took off his cap and waved his hair left and right smiling placing the cap on her head. He ordered his food and walked out. Later coming back smiling saying he forgot his cap lma0. He was morenito with very long black curls. I love bring Dominican and let my hair grow long to in my 20's, but there is nothing better than living a life for Christ as your Lord and Savior.

The real hero in this case is District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, may he rest in peace. His three month investigation was locked tight, no leaks, no planted rumors, complete professionalism. Totally unlike today and little Alvin Bragg. Democrat elected officials went to Morgenthau demanding arrests, regardless of the evidence. Morgenthau did not succumb to political pressure, he had top people on the case, and he allowed the evidence to guide the investigation without fear or favor. I shudder to think what little Alvin would do if it were today. Its not a coincidence that former prosecutors write on their resumes how they "served in the Manhattan DA's Office under the Honorable DA Robert Morgenthau", making it clear they did NOT serve under Alvin Bragg.
