Reign of Terror - Murder and Mayhem in the Osage Hills

Фильм және анимация

It’s estimated that from 1910 to 1930 hundreds of Osage tribal members were murdered or died under suspicious circumstances in an organized effort to rob them of their oil money. They cried out for years, pleading for help which never came.
In this new half-hour #documentary from OETA, the team from Back In Time presents the story of the Osage in their own words.

I am part Ojibway and we are still fighting to get our lands paid for by the thieves who took it. I received ten thousand $ for land bought illegally by the government which is worth 1O0 times that! Being Native puts a burning desire for justice for my ancestors and their suffering!

The Dakota and Lakota sioux people would always feel poor innocent death's of our own tribal traditional people! In our very sad tragic stories of the bloody sioux Indian wars of conflict from 1854 to 1890! There would be another very Great bloody conflict during the great depression of the two hot summer days of August of 1931! During the time of sooner policy act the reservation land take over of the better half of the 20th century! It actually started in spring time the American towns people and the ranchers in the northern part of the reservation. Would instigated by causing terrible troubles of violence!! Would trigger the start the Buffalo County war or the Great war for the northern part of the crow creek sioux Indian reservation of SD. Half a mile northwest from the town stephan. A large encampment over sixty to eighty hunkpati Dakota sioux people were still definitely living on Cheney rush encampment site! A long narrow valley just below the hilly prairie land country along the beautiful Missouri River. Later a large party of over hundred American civilians would arrived there with guns and rifles very unannounced! The seriously wanted to take away their entire northern part of the reservation the tribe still owns today! The guilty intruders would hate kill an brutality massacre an entire encampment of my poor innocent wretched proud Dakota sioux Indian people! The brutal hateful torture to death at the Cheney rush tragedy, the second sand creek massacre of 1864! The elders were young children at the time saw an witness the tragedy unfolded there will hiding a safe distance away. Later the Dakota sioux men also heard the very sad tragic story of their own love ones who wrongfully murdered there! The men's hearts were broken they never get back very sad tragic story! The very next day over three hundred angered Dakota sioux Indian warriors were coming ready to fight against the American guilty murderous intruders! An many more warriors will becoming later! On the prairie land country along the beautiful Missouri River. The American civilians we're setting up a camp site near the massacre site! Someone told them they would be facing a huge massive large numbers of warriors coming towards them from a great distance away! Iron Nation's kul wicasa oyate Lakota sioux Indian warriors may have assisted in the fierce fighting to! Dust would rise up from the horses hooves made a great impressive very battlefield scene after a running battle into a full bloody conflict probably more Americans civilians were killed there! An several brave sioux Indian warriors would lose their lives in the very great battlefield moment scene! The rest of the defeated wounded weakened American intruders escaped or fled back across the reservation border lands! To their own ranches and towns never wanting to take back the hunkpati Dakota sioux people's traditional reservation Buffalo hunting grounds and our rich fertile farm lands along the beautiful Missouri River! The last true forgotten tragedy of the 20th century and the last brave Dakota and Lakota sioux warriors true victory song for the two hot summer days of August of 1931! This very great victory is for retribution for lost poor innocent lives at the brutal Cheney rush massacre site! The Cheney rush massacre victory site is still there today. Half a mile northwest from the town stephan SD along the highway to the capital of Pierre SD. North to the two small rolling hills. The one hill on the left side as a great resistance for our native American indigenous people of North America! My historical information for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.

I am not American, but injustice resonates deeply with me no matter where it is found. RHETTY FOR HISTORY CHANNEL also covered this disgrace that is the Reign of Terror, and he mentioned the book, 'Killing of the Moon Flower' which tells the tragic story - and I will definitely order it. I don't know how anyone could treat another human being with such contemptible disrespect - not now, and not then. We were all born with an inherent knowledge of right and wrong - but some people don't listen to what they know is right. I've heard the 'excuse' a million times of "Oh, but it was a different time 100 years ago" - but if they were any different then they would not have thought it necessary to hide their crimes and murder secretly. I hope their property will be fully restored to the rightful descendants, and that these poor souls can rest in peace knowing that we know now. We know, and they're not forgotten.

If you study that group Photo around 2:22, you will find some very interesting things. First, the two guys at Left front, in the base white patterned clothing, they look like twins. And every one of them have something separate, draped over their left forearms. And the three Indians on the far left, have something like an arm, with a hand, very detailed finger positions, carved out of something? Looks like wood. You have to look closely, because the detail is blurred from the photo process of the time. The one in the middle is very clear. The other two look like their own hands, but they are not...... Peace.

I wonder if he was a direct ancestor to the Mathis brothers? If you live in Oklahoma you know that Mathis name. Mathis is spelled the exact same way they spell it in the book. I’m sure no national reporter would know about the Mathis brothers so I’m sure it hasn’t been looked into.

The story of greed, the enslavement of natives by conquering forces, even genocide has been repeated thousands of times throughout mankind's history, and is not unique to any particular race or religion. It would seem Man has lived in fear of one another since our animating spirits woke up in many different human forms within this Garden of Eden. When you look, do you see other humans, or do you see yourself?
