My dog just passed away and man, if my Pepper comes back as my next dog, i would be the happiest person alive. This made me cry like a baby haha

This movie, in my opinion, was beautiful. It just shows how a bond between man and dog isn't easy to break. Sometimes, it can be as strong as reinforced concrete, titanium, and steel.

I guess you could say it gives the saying "man's best friend" a whole new meaning and strengthens it by a lot.

Somehow this movie makes me grateful that my childhood dog (now fourteen) may be more tired due to her age but can still run fast pretty often and up the stairs without hurting herself and still walks to my level every day each time we go outside.

I was going to see this the year it came out but my dog died & I was advised it could be too much for me under the circumstances. Just seeing this recap now makes me grateful I didn't see it then! Our dogs are so special......

We had to have our 14 y.o. Bassett Hound put down in 2021. The only dog we've ever had to have put down.

My dad never wanted me to watch anymore movies like this since it made me cry a lot when we saw it together. I still enjoyed it while dad wondered if my dog was a reincarnation of his old dog that we once had several years before I got her due to their similar personalities.

No matter how old or mature I will be, I doubt I will be able to watch this movie without crying or tearing up

Remember watching it back before the pandemic. This was the best movie I have ever watched! It just makes me sad about how our cats and dogs only have 1/10 of our lifespan, I wish I didn't have to go through the pain of watching my pets die. I just can't stop buying pets because they encourage me to be better.

Don't ever lose that feeling. No matter how many pets you may lose, there's always more who need your help. Adopting another is never abandoning the memory of the others.

There was a couple that miscarried. They decided to get a dog and that led them to the dog’s birthday. The dog was born the same day they miscarried their baby. That story always warms my heart because it gives new meaning to fur babies.

That’s one of the most beautiful imitations I felt after long time .. well after my pet died I never had one it’s too painful to say goodbye to love specially when it’s so pure ..

The love of a dog is so pure.

there was a sequel to this, which was also pretty good.. kinda followed bailey as he kept finding the grand-daughter of the girlfriend.. bailey ends up meeting his original owner in heaven..

I watched the movie and balled like a baby, watched this idk why and still balled. My cat Oreo was a stray, such a goofball beautiful big boy, when he passed was so hard. Even now 😢

My family and I have always been animal lovers so for me it's always been hard to watch these types of movies and even though they sometimes have happy endings I have always stayed away from them. I end up upset or sad. Doesn't help that "Old Yeller" is one of the first movies I remember watching and "Where the Red Fern Grows" was my favorite book of all time even though it breaks my heart even now just thinking about it. Thanks for the recap. Seems like a movie I'd avoid but I might check it out.

I almost cry like I can't believe it This movie is so emotional

I do NOT understand how anyone can have a pet and then sell / dispose / give it away. I have had cats & dogs most of my life and I assure you, it IS for LIFE. I never own pets. They own me and I feel priveliged to be allowed to share their world AND their bed. Back in the early 2000's, I had three dogs, Snowman, Patch and Radar. I could take these dogs anywhere and never needed a leash. They stayed with me because they loved me, and I them. Yes I know we "have " to leash a dog. Didn't care. They loved me and that's all I needed to know. When their time came, I held them while they gently went off to sleep and I sat in my car for approx one and a half hours or so before I could safely drive home. They were cremated and will go in my coffin with me for eternity.

My childhood dog passes away last year, his name was Jojo and was a Shitzu, we recently got a dog name Toto and is a Pomeranian, they have the same personality and i sometimes think Toto and Jojo in another form

I personally feel this is true. About 6 years ago my family had what we assumed was a Golden Retreviver chihuahua named Jiggy. He was so kind, loved everything and wasn't the smartest. However he was epileptic and multiple seizures a week. He passed when he had a super bad seizure. My family was heart broken for awhile after this happened. About a year later we decided to go to a shelter to adopt a new dog, that needed a home to fill the void left after Jiggy's passing. (I was about 13 or 14) at the While we were there looking at dogs I stumbled upon this beautiful White German Sheppard named Cane. Idk what it was but I felt attached to him. I stayed with him while my family looked at other dogs. Eventually my family came around and adopted him. And he is just like Jiggy. A massive Sweetheart and cuddlebug (He thinks he's a lap dog despite being a massive German Sheppard) and isn't the smartest but we love him and he is the most important part of our family. I just feel it's fate that I found him at that shelter.

I remember watching this film even just came out on a field trip and I kid you not everyone was crying after it ended of the toughest guys were crying

i watched this with my cousin in 2017 and her dog had to be put down later that year because of the epilepsy attacks he would have. i miss nemo and i’m sure my dog also still misses him sometimes.
