It just means that regardless of the negative views he got (mostly because of how he dressed/his skin tone) he did his job. He didn’t decide to let his patient and colleague, who was labeling him as something he’s not, change how he did his job. He didn’t let what happen interfere or change how he handled the situation.

    Honestly I think it's worse that a hospital doesn't have the equipment necessary for the procedure. You're a fucking hospital, you should be ready for anything because you don't know when a patient with that issue might show up.     It happens too often that someone is treated for an obvious injury but ignoring a very serious problem that isn't so obvious. Thoroughness, thoroughness; it's the best doctors that understand the less obvious injuries but potentially deadly.

    It happens alot because they focus on the little picture the "cheif complaint" as ems we are taught to step back dont just look at the foot if the patient complains of foot pain, something could be causing that or something else more serious could be going on.

    Ya da miedo caer en un hospital. Tengo 76 años, estoy enferma y no voy al doctor, miedo me da con el trato del personal, no sé porque tratan así a los pacientes si les pagan para atendernos , hasta a los doctores les paga. Me rompí hombro, un dolor insoportable, en lugar de sentirme mejor en el hospital, me sentí peor. Buscas un apoyo moral más que nada, bueno yo, a tu dolor que es insoportable, pero en fin, que Dios se aliste de ellos cuando les toque su turno.

    I’ve had liver lac (liver laceration) after a car crash. All I had to do was get a MRI and they found out my liver was cut open from the seatbelt locking down. Glad that I didn’t need to deal with all that 😂
