From Northumberland to Jerusalem: Simon Reeve's Pilgrimage Voyage | Parable
The starting point of Simon Reeve’s pilgrimage is the beautiful and wild coast of Northumberland. From there he heads south on a 400 mile to learn about the history of pilgrimage and visit some spectacular sights along the way.
For centuries pilgrimage was one of the greatest adventures, epic journeys around the country and across the world. Simon Reeve will be retracing the steps of our ancestors, exploring the hidden and the darker side of pilgrimage, and discovering why so many modern pilgrims are taking to the road. His journey will take him from the north of England to Canterbury, then through France into northern Spain, across the Alps into Italy and on into the eternal city. He will travel East into Turkey, across the Mediterranean to the holy land and on to his final destination - Jerusalem.

Men used to go through tough times back then. A pilgrimage was part of their spiritual journey which connected them to God or another higher power. It was done so they would be away from there busy lives for a short while

I walked the Camino de Santiago - 800km in 1 month. I did it for adventure and because I was seeking forgiveness from God for a mistake I made in the past.

That's basically ur own pilgrimage because u did it for adventure so by definition it isn't a pilgrimage because a pilgrimage is done for a spiritual or religious reason

YEAH for sure... Children in Somalia and Etiopia and around the world are waiting for him to save them while starving to death... To dare to see truth is painful but useful, to lie yourself is comfortable but leads to no results... I can not believe my eyes how after two thousand years so many people accept being brainwashed by such fantasy... We are nothing but a grain of sand in this vast and beautiful Universe, and to this day we are not able to explore even 1% of it but some of us maintain that stupidity and arrogance to say we are alone in Universe and that we have a Creator that made everything and pretend that EVOLUTION does not exists.
