To everyone saying “it’s an ordinary home” and that they’re overreacting, I respectfully disagree. If I’m paying $800 a night I’d expect the bare minimums, such as hot water, clean sheets, and clean appliances, just like we would expect out of any other hotel or rental.

I've payed $60 a night for an Airbnb and everything was clean. It's A PRIORITY to at least take the garbage out, clean up, wash the bedding, and make the bed. It's a sanitary issue if you haven't. And then let's add in the fact this is $800 a night. Pathetic and disgusting

I’d clean out my microwave and other appliances, all dishes clean, everything you said of course, even the garbage outside cleaned out. I’m gen z so there’s no excuse for them, and if there is (like handicap or sum) at least make it known it’s not gonna be top-notch, but then lower the price. But in this case that’s not the issue, handicap can’t excuse it

Exactly! Honestly, for $800 a night I’d expect a little extra. Sure it’s the “Trump” name and that’s who their hoping to reel in, but $800 a night for a home with no extra amenities (pool, view, gym, etc… ) all you're paying for is the name, it better look good and everything in working order. Of course, with the amount of bunk beds it probably sleeps 10 which would be a better way to split it. Nonetheless, an absolute rip off.

Love how everyone’s like ‘oh it isn’t that bad!’ But if y’all were paying $800 a night for a hotel, and the water was cold, trash wasn’t empty, coffee machine was unclean, sheets unchanged, etc, I’m sure you’d be singing a different tune. It should look like whoever stayed previously was never there, especially for that price.

The cleaning company or the property management company would be the ones to blame. I have a question, for $800 a night , why is no one going out to check in between guests and stock items and check that everything works? That's a lot of money to pay to stay in a house for a night to be uncomfortable. If I were the owner of the property, I would be finding a new company to oversee it.

Misty Morales my dad had to talk to the people at the desk of a motel we were staying at on a trip, our neighbors were fighting and it sounded very aggressive with lots of banging of doors and we didnt want it to escalate and have someone be harmed more than what was already done. The guy supposedly was drunk and on drugs. Well it ended fine.

If you go to a hotel would you expect there to be trash half way full, a hair clip from some unknown person, an unmade bed with sheets that the last person slept on, no hot water and on top of that the stove doesn't work so they can't cook. Air B&B runs like a hotel and the house should be spotless and everything in running condition for the next guest to be able to stay there.

All that means is that the cleaning crew hired to clean the place didn't do their job. The issue with the water, stove & cable box, those should be addressed through AirBnB or the owner as complaints. We've had issues that arose with some AirBnBs we've rented in the past. We just let the owner know & they fixed them immediately. If you don't let the owner know, then they don't know what the fix.

a proper owner would check that all of the above still works before any rental. Takes a couple of seconds to check each thing. But this is obviously catering to the stupidest people in america who dont care about all that and just want to do cult things.

Wrong, thats a gas grill. A gas stove is supposed to ignite the gas as soon as you turn the knob. Thats what the clicking sound was.
