You would benefit from having a pressure washer.

If you thoroughly rinsed the rug off on a rack a few inches off the ground to get the bulk of the crap out of them first it would save you so much effort , all your doing is pushing all the mud etc to the other side and back again……you need to be able to push the dirt and debris right out not just move it around lol…. I suppose it would not look so dramatic doing it on a horizontal rack .

I am always screaming at the screen to get the mud off both sides before scrubbing, 20 minutes of these videos is always washing the same mud in and out of the carpet.

I think that the degree of dirtiness is due to it being a long pile shag rug. I feel like those types (shag) in particular tend to be filth magnets if neglected.

The smell coming out of that rug must have been horrendous...

A good idea would be to mount the carpet on a flat board with a screen mesh behind it and space for dirt/water to flow straight down. While it’s standing upright in front of you, it could also be connected to the ceiling. You can also just rinse behind the carpet after blasting the front of it. Easy, clean, and saves more money. And it could retract downwards to the floor if you needed to use heavy machine or cleaning tools for it. And a rope crank to pull it back up into place, because it would be easier than lifting a giant rug holding all that water. Good videos.

This or he gets a clean rug and cleans it, then puts mud on it, and switches the order of the clips so that it looks like it was dirty in the first place.

Because he wants to keep the video below a certain length of time. If he showed EVERY. SINGLE. STEP, the video would prob end up being over an hour long. Not every channel wants their videos that long. The majority of his videos are around 25 min or less, with very few going over the 30 min mark, and even fewer going over the 40 min mark. There are other channels that post 1hr+ long rug cleaning videos; perhaps those would suit you more if that's what you like. But not every channel wants to have long videos. He has stated in the past that he does some of the cleaning off-camera. It's not "cheating".

Nobody wants to sit for a 2-5 hour process of cleaning a carpet. They have to edit what are you talking about?
