Great info! I didn't know half of that 💯
Go sponsor the most genuine and honest KZreadr I’ve seen. NoNonsenKnowhow need nuts and bolts!
I was just out shopping for fasteners and was wondering this. I watched your t-nut video and this popped up. Thanks for both of them.
I have seen too many grade 8 bolt fail in high shock applications. I have more faith in grade 5 bolts. I'll take tough grade 5 over brittle grade 8 anytime. If you find a snapped bolt it's always a grade 8. Look at the millions of snapped exhaust manifold bolts on GM and Ford vehicles. All grade 8. Repair with grade 5 and never break another bolt. Though dirt track racing. Grade 8 snap. Grade 5 might bend in high impact but never snaps and you Finnish the race. I've been bolting things together for 40 years and my go to bolt is a grade 5. On the farm too. Grade 5 gets the job done with no snap offs.
What are the largest in diameter and length bolts (grade 8) that you carry?
Thank you sir.
What grade bolt will be best for re anchoring the side rail on my bed. The nut is missing so I'm drilling a hole through so I can run a bolt through it???
What grade should I use on an engine valve cover?
will grade 8 be bad on boat trailer ? salt water use ?

Stainless bolts are only good to resist corrosion. They are close to grade 5 strength but softer so the threads will strip easier and the bolt will bend slightly quicker.
