Thank you
Thank you for the printable table, lost mine last week.
Get titanium then!
Dont know what bothers me more that he say stainless is soft or that he things cold welding means welding with low Temperatur cold welding means fussion without the need of heat or the part where he show his product with low rpm while without the lube allways got on high
This was helpful on deciding which to use on mounting optics. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
What grade should I use on an engine valve cover?
Not how it works.
Great video Andy! Thank you
Awsome
Mechanic in the navy.....IT HAS HAPPENED
I definitely have seen this in commercial kitchens. Without lube, and with high temperatures, it's impossible without causing damage.
Yep. Had this happen on my ‘92 cabriolet. Wound up breaking the bolt in half trying to get it out 🙃
Less talking more screwing
Why we use 8.8 bolt over 10.9 and 12.9 in iron and steel making industries?
will grade 8 be bad on boat trailer ? salt water use ?
Probably want to use stainless hardware
Are self drilling screws just as strong in terms of their load bearing capacity for thin aluminium pipes
These are great and are very inexpensive if you salvage them from old cars.
A child telling people about bolts. I will never get them 30 seconds back.
a moron whining about a video he watched. I will never regret telling them about their density.
Give a dull bit, and a bunch of stainless or aluminum rivets, and I’ll show you a bad time 😂 ask me how I know
How do you tell what size drill bit to use?
These shorts are awesome! Learned something new every time
Using a flat washer and lock washer together negates the lock washer. If you need a flat washer use a grade c lock nut or nylock nut. This is in reference to the 5 piece set up.
I see this often but is there really any need for a lock washer on the head side of the bolt? What exactly are you accomplishing other than shortening the bolt?
in case you're threading directly into a tapped hole, maybe? 😂
Very helpful
I really hate this trend of putting these auto generated captions on videos. It’s obnoxious and they are almost always inaccurate.
Yes! Thank you, I have a lot of fasteners I need to measure.
The teeth didnt quite fit into the dry wall as it tore it a bit when i rotated hard. So now it is bit loose from the front. Will that be problem if I hang a heavy mirror for example?
What are the largest in diameter and length bolts (grade 8) that you carry?
Good morning, I am having a really had time finding a 10.9 bolt of the size I need. Can I use a grade 8 bolt for a car suspension application?
Dude, watch your fingers! I was cringing when you drilled those two holes.
You don't include the threads portion of the bolt in your length. Only the shank (grip length). The grip length will change with every bolt size. A 6" bolt will have the same amount of threads as a 9" bolt but the 9" bolt will have a longer grip length. The grip length (shank) is the portion of the bolt that is the same thickness of whatever material you are bolting. Bad video.
Thank you
So why would I want self tapping
what if you have an uncommon tpi
Thank you.
Thanks I have several rivet guns and rivets never used👍
What are those products which still use standard threaded bolts? Are you repairing very old machinery? Stop perpetuating a stupid system!
Thank you. Glad you made this video.
Super useful, thank you!
More!
Never use black oxide where you expect any moisture: it will rust. Beyond that just pick zinc and call it a day. You won’t regularly find galvanized stuff unless you’re building a deck.
Great video!!
Would be cool if you would have mentioned why you would use one over another other than color.
The bolts and nuts logo is very similar to the bolt thrower logo, i like it lol
Excellent. Thank you
Link to your sheet with the chart is 404-DEAD
You guys need too sponsor Jimmy oakes he is in desperate need of your expertise from little Chris in the UK
Good information
Just an FYI; its megapascal not millipascal. if it was millipascal it would be 1/1000 of a pascal in lieu of 1000000 pascals (1Mpa).. thanks
You don’t have to tell me twice about sticking it in holes.
