Agree with Kelvin...while pursuing your dreams, one needs to be aware of your own strengths and weakness. Many people fall into self denial mode when they cannot achieve what they want, blaming this, blaming that.

The difference between top 1% and the rest is due in large part to luck. For every Jack Ma, there are millions who are rejected with no home runs, even with similar efforts. Being at the right place, the right time, the right era, having the right connections, etc are just as important. Even then, the odds of failing is in fact usually high due to life’s ever changing parameters.

I believe the real top 1% think differently, while majority of ppl think logically, top 1% just do. They don’t think, they don’t try to apply logic whether it will work or risky. They just find a passion, think of what they want and how to do it.

@@learninvestearnsaveAgree! Every success starts from the mind. But it’s a fine line between thinking and overthinking imo. Most ppl over think and eventually give up from even trying. Sometimes the only way is when u have no other ways.

How many of that 1% have a net to fall back on (ie family wealth) vs those that who dont. Probably less than 0.01% is the latter. Teachers very tired is very true especially those with family

I think the fear of taking risks is the real issue. Not the fear of failure. The average guy doesn't have the cash to back them up unlike the top 1%. The downside risks will then look much bigger.

It is not really about having cash once you have a stable income, the ppl around me don’t want to take ANY risks at all.
