Try to make another video showing each different body of each one, side by side and explaining their flavor and how to use it!

Rule of Thumb: break one of the leaves open .. If it smells like Toothpaste, it's Spearmint .. if it smells like Bengay cream, it's Pepper mint.

Generally, if it just says "mint" it will be spearmint. Peppermint is usually called out. Hope this helps!

Great question Cermin. Spearmint is the best mint for mint tea.

@@imperialsugar no, it's not! It depends on the desired results. They are both herbs and one might prefer peppermint for opening breathing, higher energy or other effects... spearmint is going to be much milder and relaxing.

Read about the effects before you use them and choose your desired results! Do not try herbs without studying, it can be harmful as mint is for example very uplifting, kind of aphrodisiac and other herbs, such as valeriana, are the opposingly working as sleeping pills! So, know what you need and choose wisely

WAIT A MINUTE SPEARMINT IS THE ONE WITH THE POINT ON THE LEAF --HENCE SPEAR !!!

I thought I was growing mint because the plant grows like mint and tastes like mint, but the leaf is covered in a soft 'hair' and slightly lighter in colour. Pls help me to identify what type of mint this is. Denise.

Hi Adrian Mark! They do come from the same family; however, lemon balm has a citrus flavor with only a touch of mint while peppermint doesn't have any kind of lemon flavor.
