honestly thats my biggest complaint about CTOW

From my understanding the 99% means he is almost a perfect genetics buck, and could have grown much larger

I'm more impressed with how the deer are resting. The male you were watching nipped at his hind quarter, looked in that same area quickly afterwards, then just rested. Very immersive. Blood trails are really fantastic. And it is nice to see a deer that isn't stopping, hiccupping and then running to represent leaving a blood trail. jejejeje

The details in this game are AMAZING!!! It's just like hunting in real life. The jump when you shoot it is spot on

@@sherank244 To be fair, failure to support widescreen is a reason I havnt picked it up either. That and ive heard from quite a few people it has some pretty bad bugs with sounds and some environmental things. Im gonna wait for a bit though and see if it gets fixed and if widescreen gets supported. Sometimes, owning an ultrawide as your primary monitor sucks. 🤣 But honestly, 99% of devs support it off rip...

It looks like they're definitely going for a more realistic approach compared to the arcady type style of cotw. I love the blood trails on bushes and trees and such. Way more realistic. Exciting times with this game and the angler coming very soon

The devs make motocross games and they put 100x more work into this than any of the moto games

This game is amazing for the hunting community, it makes things more competitive, Expansive Worlds will have to make a run for their money now.

Dude, the amount of times i've shot a Muley and watched the herd run barely 70 yards is astonishing. I love that they put that amount of detail into this game.

@@257joker deer have terrible color blindness so they can’t actually see you unless you move while camouflaged. All they hear is a loud noise and they run briefly like wtf was that? Mule deer are notorious for not running far. Then go back to eating lol while their buddy is dead near em 😂. I honestly just think they’re not very bright tbh or ballsy.

God this game makes me extremely excited for deer season. just the little details like the blood trails are just amazing something I wish the hunter classic had

Ohhh, and my Ruger American .308 is excited to never leave the closet this deer season.

This game looks really good, and feels very immersive. I love the little details like you said about the blood being left behind on the trees and sticks, but I really like that the game shows you the wound channel along with the temporary cavity (which is represented by the red cone on the deer) that the bullet caused in the harvest screen.

I just started playing Cotw like 3 months ago and of course this game would come out as soon as I'm starting to get everything down 100%.

My hopes were high for this game, now they are through the roof. I'm super excited to play it.

So glad they hooked you up with early access. Seeing actual gameplay I'm sold

This is so exciting! I grew up in the Nez Perce area, and it will be awesome to play this! It's like going back, to my hunting experiences as a young hunter!

I’ll say I think the game looks great and the new mechanics are a breath of fresh air from COW. I do think the shot sound could use a little work. Could just be on my end listening to the video though. Great video Flinter! Sweet you got to play early!

I just discovered your the Hunter: Call of the Wild videos and I gotta say it's SO good to hear a real life hunters critique on games like these. It's 2022, we're way overdue for a super immersive hunting game! It's the little details that'll make or break this games competition with COTW, it seems.

To give some information on when shooting a deer. If you shoot him and he doesn't die the game will remember that shot so one day down the road you might come across that same exact mule deer that you shot and when you take him down it will have saved all the information from the first time you shot him that didn't take him down which I find is just amazing detail to this game! This game is truly amazing! I just hope they add tree strands and ground blinds like they have in cotw

Game looks incredible so far. Something super minor that was amusing but would get old fast is the antlers "wiggling" on top of the head in the harvest screen of that first buck, they're clearly not properly attached.

Yes, spotted that myself and will admit it instantly irritated me! Small niggle but hopefully fixed.

Another great vid Flinter think I'll stick to COTW with spotting outline off but will still watch this version plus as someone that used to find it hard falling asleep putting on your long streams you send me off which is great 👍😊

That's what I was telling my brother it's like they took dh5 and classic smashed them together then cranked the graphics to 100. This game looks amazing and with thq Nordics track record I think we can look forward to years of new content and updates.

This game seems so smooth it looks amazing I can't wait to buy a Xbox series console in a few years when they're cheaper to play this

From the first time I saw the kill cam and all the related information that it held I knew that this was going to be good, love to see the attention to detail extends to other areas of the game as well (blood on the tree). Can't wait to see all the little nuances that area going to make this a great game! I haven't seen yet anywhere but is there an ammo section in the shop, or how is the ammo managed I guess?

on Hunter dd33 he stated that you don't have to worry about ammo in this one. As long as your 'ammo inventory' is filled up you never have to worry about it. Fill it up and let it go is what i picked up on. Can't wait for tuesday

Crazy!!

I might like this better by far than I ever did Call of the Wild. All the extra detail and a lot more target-dense.

This is yet another scenario reminding me to get a good computer. I'm here from Hunter Classic BTW.

This looks really great. I love The Hunter: Call of the Wild, and this seems to be similar but a tad bit better and more realistic, will definitely get it soon and try it out, I love these types of relaxing hunting games where you can spend a few hours just moving around enjoying the enviroment and hunting :)

Yesterday, I shot a deer through the boiler room with a 243 from 150 yards, and it jumped up and ran away without leaving a blood trail. It seems like this game needs some realism modifications.

Looks sick and beautiful dang I gotta go next gen quick but as a muley addict I did notice their ears are a little small if they doubled the size, near perfect

I’ve been hunting in real life with my pops and I’ve seen blood on brushes and even tree stumps you are right if you see blood on brushes or tree stumps then that will lead you to your downed buck you have just shot it’s really dope that they added that feature in this game ima pick this game up forsure I mean I do have hunter call of the wild witch is a good game for what it’s worth but this game takes it to a hole new level

Im blown away by this game so far. The small details like the blood on the tree branch is amazing. Also just the way it looks. The environment looks so amazing. I can not wait for Tuesday to come

It’s amazing when you see it. The graphics are good but don’t blow you away. Equipment selection is fine, probably average, just 2 maps, not a ton of species but a fair amount. And yet 👀 the small details that aren’t represented in literally any other game just absolutely set it apart. The blood, the hit reactions, the ballistics, it’s just amazing what some realistic details can do, even if it’s not the best visually!

Needs a game mode called “just for fun” with triple the walk speed

Im about 1000hrs in to WOTH and saw you shoot this 99.3% for your first buck and almost cried...

Looks really nice. How does the game feel in terms of how skittish the animals are? I found COTW to really have the animals be overly skittish from large distances. Making for a kinda weird way to hunt. Thanks for the nice video.

You've probably figured this out by now, but after 25 hours in the game, i realized you can place the blue tracking markers by holding X. they are nice because you can leave more than blue one at a time.

It looks pretty good but I think I’ll wait until Ultimate Hunting comes out next year before I decide between the two.

I LOVE this game! It is so DAMN GOOD! For being so quickly developed and still being so damn good is remarkable! I am SUPER excited for the future of this game and the studio that made it. By the way, THQ Nordic are just the publisher, not the developers. You should have thanked Nine Rocks Games in the beginning.

I love how all the comments on the console version is there's like literally no animals you have to walk around for hours just to see one animal

I’m finding that on the PC version, spent 6 hours playing last night and didn’t see anything to even consider firing a shot out. Would hope there is an update soon to maybe increase the animal populations on the reserves otherwise the game will get boring fast with nothing to shoot.

This seems pretty legit, Cotw might have some competition :P

It's the closest I've seen yet, but not perfect. Heart is a touch too low and far forward. The heart is naturally protected by the elbow and in this game its slightly below and forward of the elbow. But I'm being very nit picky lol

@@flyfishermannick3632 I have to say I disagree with you. Every deer I've ever killed (a lot of deer) has its heart exactly where this game is putting it. Right at the top of the front leg and slightly forward. It's perfect. That's exactly where a deer's heart sits in its chest cavaity. The more I look into the game, the more I disagree with you. These are anatomically perfect in terms of their vital argan positioning.
