I cant wait to play this map. Calling in Springbok is hillarious though - I've hunted plenty of times in africa and you dont call any animals (other than some predators).

Could you describe one of your hunts in Africa? I'm very curious to what it was like, a friend of mine is from the Yukon and has hunt Beluga whales before and that was insane story.

@@chasecharland1160 lol well im not kidding I lived there for decades and have hunted on many many farms across the western, eastern and limpopo provinces. I've hunted Kudu, Waterbuck, Springbok, Vaal Rhebok, Steenbok, Duiker, Rooibok (Impala), Wildebeest etc etc. and a few jackal hunts at night. You do NOT call any plains game - I can state that with 100% certainty/

As a South-African, they are spot on with the animals!!! 1or 2 tweeks here and there, but it is amazing!

I’m glad to see Greater Kudu are in the map at launch! Was a bit worried they didn’t make the cut when they weren’t in the wildlife trailer

The alien references are to the game "Destroy All Humans" that THQ Nordic Published back in 2020. I hope we go on an alien hunt as part of the story.

Biggest issue so far for me is the lack of a big bore rifle and how wimpy the cape buffalo seem.

Loving my time on this map so far so I'll be checking all these vids to see if it benebutted you to take out the one stars (2:30)

I’m excited for this map my brother was playing on my account on way of the hunter and he shot a melanistic Mule deer I’ve also shot a few cool rates but Africa definitely gonna be my favorite map looks awesome

a 300 dropping a buffalo isn't very realistic my dad is a PH and he uses .458 as backup for the hunter and dropping a buffalo with anything lighter than a 375 isn't likely

In some countries the 375 is even the legal minimum. It would've been great to get a 416 or 470 for capes.

Some regions 9,3 is minimum for buffalo,other have energy requirements so .338 Win is one option for that.

This will be the thing that gets me back into playing this game!!!

Whitetail deer only live about 7 to 10 years. Seems like the Kudu is roughly the same. Id like to see the peep sight colors on the bow string where you can change them if ya want. Maybe also where it would be zoomed in a bit more for people with poor vision. Cool vid man. Thanks for that. Looks like they have made a spectacular DLC. Cant wait.

Am so excited for this, have been waiting since essentially launch to get back into the game. Now that bows are here im so for it, now just hope they eventually add "traditional bows"

It was so satisfying to see that first Cape Buffalo drop instantly to a broadside rifle shot

I was really hoping the buffalo would be the toughest animal in the game

I think the Alien is a Destroy All Humans! reference. That game was published by THQ Nordic and the Alien model looks almost identical to the PC in the DAH game.

Bow hunting in WotH fixing to be top teir ! The bow sounds great and seems very realistic.

It's currently a thing where only mature responds to the caller and it's on almost every species. They're working on the issue

Hopefully this map comes with an update to allow my kids to play dlc maps. The developers sent me an email months ago saying they were fixing it but they haven't. If they can't fix that I probably won't buy more maps

Great video However I think they have got the hyenas all wrong the females should also be scored in the game not just the males unless I mistook it Among spotted hyenas, females dominate over males in a group. Previously thought due to their size and weight however, males are more likely to leave the clans and join others as they are bottom of the pecking order

I been playing on the ps5 and i ran into acouple bugs i killed and animal and it disappeared when i went to were i kill it then i shot a animal it dropped then hopped up and start running

Looks pretty cool! A lot like Vurhunga tho. Unfortunately it’s still not worth buying a 500$ new console to play it😢

I think the really big game drops too fast, but ive never hunted it irl so idk but deer shrug off good 30.06 shots and run 100m so a buffalo can eat 300 winmag maybe? xd

Seems like this map could use some more species, missing a lot of cool animals that could have differentiated themselves from cotw rather than just copying the animal list over
