I'm confident the queen's pistachio pineapple dessert is completely amazing. I'd love to try it! But we common folk can enjoy a dessert that might be similar and is one of my (American) favorites. Combine 3.4 oz pistachio Jell-O instant pudding mix ,20 oz can crushed pineapple,1 cup miniature marshmallows, 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional - I don't use these) , mix together, cover and store in fridge overnight (allows the marshmallows to soak up pineapple juice and jello powder to dissolve) then fold in 8 oz container of Cool Whip. I bet you could add diced pears and chopped pistachios to the first step to get a more "royal" flavor! Called Pistachio fluff, Pineapple Pistachio Salad or Watergate Salad. Enjoy!

Being from Malta myself, I couldn't be more proud to see Malta making its way into the Royal kitchen's recipe books. The recipes in this video are great however I find the title a little bit misleading since only the quail dish was served in Malta to Her Majesty. The cake, which I presume is the dessert is not Maltese at all. Although Malta might seem exotic for some, pineapples are not Maltese at all. That being said, I am still very happy knowing that Malta is one of the Queen's favourite countries which She holds dear to her heart.

It appeared the garlic was left whole with the paper on it perhaps. That gives off the faintest essence of it without blowing one's socks off. Those potatoes looked so good I could taste it off the screen.I loved all of it except those poor teeny quails. Just a bite but the English love their game birds. The more you do to garlic, ie smash, squash, grate the more the essential odors escape and it literally comes out through one s pores. I'm quite sure, if she shared a bite of the dish the garlic wouldn't smell bad. Just a wisp of je ne sais quoi. May if she had to greet her public she stand back a bit farther or have a hanky handy.

All cooks and chefs use metal utensils on non-stick pans and on expensive enameled Le Creucet pots They don't have time to worry about scratches and treating their equipment delicately. They have tons of them anyway. BTW, do you have a Michelin Star?

That Quail looked Heavenly! We visited for a week in Ely and had a delightful dish this reminded me of, it was a roast pigeon. It had a similar sauce with wine, truffles and shallots, I think I'm going to go buy some little Cornish hens and recreate this. This Duck recipe sounds delightful, I make an apricot glaze for duck that is heavenly.

He’s got it right with the quail. So beautiful. Very very delicious. Beautiful yacht/floating palace. I don’t blame the former Mother, cooking can be relaxing if your not under pressure. The Queen is right, salted caramel with chocolate. I am a true chocoholic. Chocolate is a treat. Everything is labor intensive in 1700’s. Especially cultivating land.

I guess one could check on the net. G.R.IV.'s chef was Antonin Carême, "king of chefs, chef of kings". One of his apprentice, Jules Gouffé, edited the first modern cook book. Last but not least : Auguste Escoffier. The référence in French cuisine... Voilà.

I thought that Queen Elizabeth loathed garlic and sometimes onion and prefered leeks. Am I wrong here? Or misread an article? However, I am pretty sure I am right. So the quail dish was full of it. Would she really have eaten it?

You take one look at that thumbnail and tell me with a straight face that Her Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina II is not the CUTEST and MOST ADORABLE woman to ever walk the planet. You can't do it. Can't be done. She is the cutest, ever. I know, I know, she is the greatest, most respected, most beloved, longest-serving monarch in history, but LOOK AT THAT SMILE! And those cheeks! She may be 93, but inside she's still that little 7-year-old who charmed everyone in the castle. Long live the queen!

🩶🩵Hi Real Royalty 👋 Hey , that dessert looks like The Watergate Salad ' My in-laws would make occasionally . I just looked It up . Initially named Pineapple Pistachio Delight " by Jello General Mills Co . A Newspaper changed the name in 1975 to Watergate Salad : Pineapple ( I dont eat anymore 😊 ) , Marshmallows , Pistachio Jello mix , Pistachios and Cool Whip . An American Classic , from the South they were from. I want to veganize Your version, without the Pineapple. I was able to mimic the Pineapple flavor in a Sherbert with Orange , Peach and Lemon . Inspired to try that Brussel Salad and Peach ... , V too . Thank Yous 🩶💖
