You would think man.. old friend of mine would yell at his little sister all the time and yell at his mother even destroy his room, sisters, and moms. Pretty downright pos.. Used his moms money for drugs. his. his moms friends. his aunt grandparents...anyone really. He would even steal his moms medication or weed pretty often. Often talked of suicide if she ever kicked him out or would try and kill her and his sister. (he was pretty crazy I came to find out) - Lets just say. His mom never kicked him out. Instead his sister found him and their step-dad overdosed and had been gone for 7-8hrs cause rigor mortis started setting in and he was sorta stuck hunched over. their step dad was on the floor 3-5ft infront of him. My buddy was 22 and his step dad was 38/39 and also a good friend of mine for some year. (Beyond their addictions.. They were pretty cool people. Sober, they were funny and laughing and chill to hang with. Messed up, they were too hard to be around most days. Both had their drug problems and both had their rage fits and sorta fitting for them to go pretty much at the same time. Cause either would have been devistated by the others passing.

sometimes my dad and I fight about dumb stuff, but seeing that clip really hurt me. He is coming to him with no malice, just telling his son to eat some food likely because he has been streaming all day without eating (typical of drug users, not as common with downers like xanax though but idk what else he uses). Either way, He is clearly worried for his son asking things like "did you take your meds?" That wasn't an insult it was out of concern.

However, if a high roller is on a winning streak, I have been "asked", by the pit boss or management, to fumble the cards. Usually, I will pretend to miss the discard rack and drop a few cards on the floor. Whenever 4 or more cards are dropped, we have to change out the decks. This basically ends any lucky streaks. There’s something deeply depressing yet, sadly, equally captivating about watching a person hit rock bottom. The viewers give him the money because there is more value to them in watching some guy throw it all away. It’s very upsetting to see people support his addiction, yet at the same time I struggle to believe the sick fascination and entertainment they got out of it wasn’t worth it in their minds. When somebody is disconnected from yourself entirely aside from being a source of entertainment, people usually struggle to feel remorse in their actions so long as they get enjoyment themselves. It’s sadistic, but many of them likely justify themselves by saying “well it’s not my suffering and I got my moneys worth by being able to laugh at him.” Gambling is a horrible addiction and the companies that profit off it sicken me to my core, but why should they care when the suffering of other people leads to their own success.
