I think KCP should guard Connolly in all games. He organizes everything for them, hits for 3 and easily finds his way to the rim

I’m so worried about the bench and Minnesota being able to make 3s whereas the lakers didn’t. It is crazy how much tougher this run has gotten since we couldn’t beat the spurs when we were up by 23.

Hey guys, I think MPJ at 4 is going to be critical in this series. Braun at 3. This counters the idea of Gobert guarding AG (non-shooter) and then AG can play alot of backup minutes against Reid/Kat. Thoughts?

To the point of tiring Ant: - During the regular season they put Ant On MPJ. I think that is a mismatch the nuggets can exploit. MPJ might be the X factor. I’ve heard people say wolves will double him and test his playmaking. There were also multiple games last year that Bruce closed over him. That won’t happen with Reggie. - I also agree with Adam. This is not a Reggie series. He just isn’t like Bruce Brown in terms of defense. Maybe if he heats up and makes shots, but… I wouldn’t bet on it. - Nuggets biggest advantage is playmaking. If we play our sets and the ball is poppin the wolves will get cooked. - concerning the whistle. I’m so scared of somebody getting injured. Ant has poked defenders in the face with his left hand (when dunking) on multiple occasions. Also tripping Jamal up when they trail happens a lot. Then there is KAT who doesn’t know how big he is. They will try hard and I think there is a realistic chance that a nugget will get injured. The refs might lose control of this series.

I'm a Wolves fan, and the part about KAT 😂 made me chuckle because it's true. He's not a dirty player at all, but he's like a clumsy Great Dane. The refs call so many fouls on him because of it. Our coach calls his random movements 'stray voltage' ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ I hope no one on either team get hurt this series 🤞

@@weights250 yeah… I mean… I don’t wanna make it sound like they are dirty. them trying hard. You can’t hold it against them… but the best defense in the world trying hard in the playoffs against a good opponent. I think there is just injury potential in general. It is what it is.

Respectfully ant guarding MPJ is not a mismatch. Ant is one of our best on ball defenders. At 6’5 with a 6’10 wingspan and freak athleticism he will be jus fine guarding MPJ on the ball. His off ball defense is lackadaisical tho so that def is a concern wirh how often MPJ moves off the ball

@@Corey41929 You may think what you want, but Ant is smaller than mpj and the only reason he guards him is out of necessity. Minnesota likes to put JMac on Jamal. Pretty sure we will see Ant guarding Jamal as well, but you are underestimating mpj and the nuggets if you think they can’t exploit that. Hell… if he plays like he did in the lakers series, it doesn’t matter who guards him if he can get a step on them. That’s also the general opinion I got from other content creators and that’s why I said they might blitz him. Actually I heard somebody say they tried that already during the regular season, so you might wanna argue with finch… not with me.

The key to the non Jokić minutes is just gonna be defense and Jamal Murray shot making. If that defensive unit is elite (which it has showed it can be) and Murray makes shots we’ll win those minutes which means win the game 90% of the time

I think an important factor is that Rudy won't make Jokic work as much defensively since his skillset is so limited on that end.

Good point. Davis is probably the most difficult big for Jokic to defend other than Embiid. Regardless, it's gonna be a tough series. The Wolves are basically engineered to match up with Denver.

Not saying Denver can't play physical, but imo the Nuggets' edge in this series against Minnesota will be brains. It'll be the Wolves' grit vs the Nuggets' brains.

Adam is so right abt different perspectives and vibes for each series. especially with how jarring teams are in this era. You go from an Elite duo and a bunch of skillful guards and shooters from the Lakers to a large, athletic defensive team for the wolves. Contenders are made by them solving problems & creating them. We’ll see how the nuggets adjust and how MPJ& Murray create advantages against stellar defensive personnel

My concern is mainly the injuries and bench. The opening 5 can't play over 40++ min throughout the whole series.

Quick reminder kat didn’t play 3/4 series and it will definitely be kat on Jokic

D-line really doesn’t understand how the matchups work. He’s gotten 4 of the 5 wrong. I think he knows that Conley will go on KCP, but I’m not even sure on that

PHNX will be fire next season, I worry for their mental health, but I have the feeling shows will be so entertaining

Wolves fan here, MIN is gonna matchup like this most likely (90% sure)... Conley - MPJ Ant - KCP Jaden - Murray KAT - Jokic Gobert - AG And if DEN ever goes small, MIN is just gonna pull one of the bigs and play NAW instead. Same if Conley is getting cooked on D, they will just replace him with NAW.

Coukd the nuggets throw out some zone? Just in spurts, could throw off the twolves rhythm and doesn't seem like they have a zone buster type player

Last year the Wolves didn’t have Jaden Mcdanials and Naz Reid the whole series. The best lock down perimeter defender and the Sixth Man of the year. Come on now. Lazy take for real

PWat can play out of his position, last series he had no chance, but MIN is not a bully team. So I think PWat can easily replace Jeff Green form last year rotation. Also CB will be more useful than against the Lakers, CB can lockdown these players as oppose to Lakers that were just all good offensive players. Again it's a hot take, I think this series will be very easy 4-1, just because DEN will be so comfortable that they punt one game

Ant will 100 percent be the most hated T Wolf in this series. We will all be hearing AAAAAAYYYYYYEEEEEE in our sleep for months regardless of how this series goes and by the end of the series our entire fanbase will be calling him a free throw merchant.

I'd say it's for sure doable cuz if the Wolves want to post up Rudy on Peyton I'll live with that all day. I'm just not sure why the matchup would ever happen though.

Last year Wolves sucked on defense and no depth. Now they are the best defensive team in the league and prob have the best bench. Totally different series.

Naz is a much improved defender and guarded him two games (1-1)

I have zero respect for the Wolves. If Jokic plays aggressively Nuggets will win in 4 or 5. If he plays passively (as vs Lakers) - this series can be tough. All in Joker's hands. And it's all about Nuggets. If they play good basketball - Wolves have zero chance

Christian braun kcp and p wat will have to harass edwards as much as they can. Porter jr on switches hurt kat and gobert from 3 point land. De Andre Jordan will have to get some minutes with gobert in 2

The suns is not a good barometer for any team. Just a badly constructed team with many flaws. On other hands lakers throw basically kitchen sink at nuggets and got a gentlemen sweep.
