Heretics are called so at ecumenical councils . Catholics are the only Church that can still call together an ecumenical councils so that means that everyone else is outside of the visible church. The baptist are pelagian heretics who don't believe everyone who goes to heaven must be born again, and they deny the eucharist. Luther would side with the Catholics 100 times over the baptist. Luther would not believe that baptist could be saved.

I live in the UK but still was on the email list for my old UMC in South Carolina. The male pastor referred to the Holy Spirit as "she" twice in the last email (He stated he was waiting to send the email until after General Conference). Unsubscribed from the email and in the "tell us why" section I wrote that it was painful to see the church falling further into apostasy and that referring to the Holy Spirit as she was absolutely blasphemous. There is are no Biblical based churches in my area of the UK (all have "identity" flags). Lord help us.

​@charlestonscnative9083 I read last year that a high-ranking archbishop in the Church of England declared that the Lord's Prayer was "problematic" due to the association some people make between the word "Father" and "harmful patriarchy", and the Church has convened a council to determine whether or not to start using "gender neutral" language to refer to God. I stopped going to a So Bapt church for this reason. Moms are exalted (much like the Catholics venerated Mary) and they cannot do any wrong. And in Father’s Day, we we are excoriated for all our failures and shortcomings as men in great detail and lambasted to repent and work harder. No law on Mother’s Day and no grace in Father’s Day.

I hear you on that one. This society is a gynarchy, not a patriarchy. Our church had a responsive reading in which the women agreed to submit to their husbands and the husbands agreed to love their wives as Christ loves the church. The women reading didn't seem to be as loud as they could have been, but it could have been my imagination.The sermon was on Matthew 19 and what Jesus and the Bible says about marriage. Pastor put responsibility on both spouses, so that was encouraging.

I can relate. At my reformed Baptist church our Pastor said Happy Mothers Day at the beginning after the announcements and went back to preaching his series through Colossians. I appreciated that a lot! I felt uncomfortable when my past churches preached on moms.

Oi veh. The shirtless acrobat got me.... it's hilarious, but also incredibly depressing that it actually happened. Makes me want to say "if you love Jesus, you'll... flip tables and drive those heretic wolves out of there." But I digress. Lol

Make fun of the Catholics all you want but while the rest of you were having todays sermons about mothers day, we were celebrating the feast of the ascension of Our Lord. It trumps mothers day. Also fyi heretics are named so at ecumenical councils and since the catholics are the only ones who can call together a council , id say we are not hereitcs. The baptist who reject infant baptism would be pelagian heretics. They dont believe you have to be born again to go to heaven
