The painting is by Renoir, and it's called, "Little Irene" she was 8 at the time, made it out of the Holocaust I believe and died at 91 in the 1960s in Paris after spending all of the money earned from selling the painting.

My grandparents had a copy of this painting hanging in their home. Not the first time I've seen it in an elderly person's home, either. It must have been quite a popular reproduction, back in the day.

Ok so I looked up the painting : her name was Irene Cahen d’Anvers and was 1 of 3 daughters born to a wealthy Jewish banker. She married her first husband and had 2 children before converting to Catholicism and remarrying someone else. Her son was a pilot and was shot down and killed in WWI. Her daughter Beatrice married someone and had children and lived in Paris at the time of Nazis invasion. They were all sent to Auschwitz and killed. Irene, the little girl in the painting, hid behind her new Italian last name and catholic faith and was able to survive the Nazis invasion along with her other sister. The portrait itself was stolen when her childhood home was raided and it was traded between some generals in the Axis powers. Eventually, it was liberated (along with some other works) by the Allied forces and eventually Irene was able to get it back. She sold it again to Emil Georg Bührle who was an art collector and arms manufacturer. After his death, the painting, and the rest of his collection, was put into the Foundation E.G. Bührle where it has been on display since 1956.

I truly believe this is Irène asking you to share her story. Please look into this and get to the bottom of this mystery. I wasn't around during the time of his comedy skits. I know him more for his scary story stuff and conspiracy theories. It's disheartening to know he made offensive content earlier in his career. I really enjoy the spooky videos and wish he would come back to make more content featured around supernatural occurances. People do make poor choices when it comes to topics they may not fully understand. He had stepped away from hurtful content and I personally love what he shifted to. I found Shane in one of the worst times of my life. I was so lost but when I found Shane he helped me through so much. I found him about 4-5 years ago. At the time I struggled a lot with my weight and family problems. I found myself relating to him more and more every time I watched another video. He was and still is literally my therapy. He helped me realize that I wasn’t alone. I’d come home from a hard day of school and I’d watch his videos for hours straight. I remember sometimes I would get so lost in his videos that I’d feel like I was there laughing and hanging out with him. He made me find joy and take a break from reality. Yes I know that sounds dumb but I really do miss him. I wish we could go back before everything went downhill. I don’t stand him anymore now because of what I found out he did in the past (with his skits and other things), but I do still find myself coming back and bingeing his videos. They give me comfort still.

Idk if Shane, or anyone for that matter, is going to see this, but I just feel the need to write this. Ik that what Shane did was...wrong, but it was a REALLY long time ago. I don't think we should cancel him over something that he did when he was younger and when he didn't know much about the topic of racism. I especially don't think we should cancel him NOW when his videos aren't even comedy skits anymore. He shifted his content towards a more horror/creepy theme, or he just does interviews for famous ppl, and imo he's the best at this sorta stuff. I never thought interviews could be as interesting as he made them to be. Basically what I'm trying to say is this: I miss you Shane, and I miss your content. I don't think you should be cancelled over something that you did in the past. Whoever agrees with me, let's use my comment as a petition to get Shane back!!

I feel you, I appreciate this content. Do you watch Bojack Horseman? To not spoil it, I’ll just say that the final season parallels with what went down with Shane.

Shane helped me a lot when I was younger. He helped me through hard times and helped me get over a fear I had. He was my favorite KZreadr. Sad to see what happened to him. Yes I know he made mistakes in the past, but I don’t think he deserves to lose his career and be held accountable forever for something he did 10+ years ago. It was better back then anyways, there was no cancel culture trying to ruin everything back then. Also I think what these social justice warriors don’t understand is that people can change and I think Shane honestly is trying to change. He hasn’t uploaded in a year or more now so I think that says something.
