I really hoped he'd be able to make a go of it at Everton, then when they loaned out to Besiktas he scored in his second game but then just trailed off again & returned to Everton. Since then nothing. Even though he accepts his mistakes now, he's still in & around football. It's gonna be tough when he's older & it's all gone, he's gonna have to work through that. It's still hard to adequately understand how he was so so good & now that seems to have completely gone, never to return.

You can tell how self-conscious he is, with how people perceive him, as he frequently repeats "not in an arrogant way". I hope he knows that he doesn't have to justify himself to anyone. I'm glad Jamie brought up the 60 yard passes that Toby Alderweireld did so well, and Dele explaining how the team just came together to know when Kane drops back and he makes a run or Kane is forward or Son has space and so on, then knowing Eriksen would deliver a quality ball was interesting to hear. I always knew Eriksen was free to move around, find space and link ball in buildup to deliver it to whoever he saw had best scoring opportunity. But hearing Dele explain it, sounds like they were all free to move around & knew and trusted each other so well to deliver the ball to whoever was in or making run into best scoring opportunity. It was definetly a special team with great players that just complimented each other so well. Many things you could say, but after Kane really began scoring, he still missed 1-2 months each year ( before he really dedicated himself to being extremely fit and the player he's been past 5 years) and Spurs had a better record when he was injured. In every sport their are always great teams that should have won something, and in Football with 4 different competitions to possibly win, its a shame they came close to all of them but never did!

I remember when i was younger i first saw dele play for england and he got me excited in the talent we were bringing through. Fair enough he didnt do it for england in that time frame but all these new england talents that have come through since: grealish saka bellingham i could go on. He was the first new talent that excited me as a younger fan to think england could progress their squad to win tournaments. He fell off somewhere but were all human. The biggest strength as a man in my opinion comes from being honest about not only your negatives in your life but also talking about your problems. Men throughout history have never done this and it needs to change and hopefully it looks like it is doing. As a fellow man thats had very dark times your mental health is first and foremost if you lose that by bottling it up itll wreak havoc on your body. This "man up" mentality needs to be as strong as womens rights which btw i am all for. Biggest killer of males worldwide is linked directly to deppression. Dele has gained massive respect from me. Wish you all the best in the future mate ❤

The Dele story was rough upbringing phenomenal talent and his prime years where 18-22. He made his money he should retire. Genuinely thought he could play for Barca with the amount of goals he was getting.

I would love the club to offer him the chance to train in pre-season and see what level he can get to. In theory he has what he needs to get back to a good level - his career hasn't been ended by injury. And a high-level Dele could be amazing in Ange's system.

I would have liked him to say, after Everton being so good & standing by him following his revelations, he’s going to knuckle down, get his place in the team & try to give something back, to the club. Instead he just stated his contract is up at the end of the season. He’s shown no metal, or proof on the pitch, for EFC to renew his contract or another club to come in for him, they would be stupid to do so. He does come across as a nice guy, but the proof of the pudding is what he does on the pitch, that was along time ago!
