After time stamp 15 he makes a mistake and instead of going front front he goes and reverses front front

I agree with you. Years ago I watched so many videos on this topic and just could not do it until I finally found this video. Once I wrote down the algorithms and kept them near me it was only a short time before I had them memorized. Now, I’m back for a refresher course, lol! This was the video that did it for me. I only wish this guy did more videos on Rubiks cube. It’s the same in the chess world… i’ve had teachers over the year that we’re International masters iPad teachers that were only 150 to 200 points higher than me and I actually learned a lot more from the players who were slightly better than me. I once took a lesson/3 hour lesson with a grandmaster and that was the biggest waste of money in my life at $180! He was a wonderful chess player, but he could not teach to save his life. Peace everyone and enjoy the Rubiks cube.

I used this tutorial ages ago to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube. Since then, a long time later, I forgot how to do it! In trying to find this video again, I found solves that were SO MUCH MORE convoluted that claim to use a simple and easy method. This is BY FAR the best tutorial for someone who is a beginner and wants to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube fairly quickly. Holy crap I'm putting this in my favorites so i never lose it again.

I've never commented on a KZread video before. I've watched all of the "the best", "the easiest", "the fastest" tutorials on KZread for solving a Rubik's cube, they all explain it like you're a veteran talking to a veteran and move so fast it's too hard to follow. This is literally the best Rubik's cube tutorial on KZread, hands down! Was able to solve it the first time through. Great job!

Thank you for this. This makes it seem so much easier. I hope to learn these algorithms to memory and know how the orientations should be without needing to refer to this or to a cheat sheet. You are doing the work of the Puzzle and Brainteasing God, my good sir. Thank you so much for this. I've been thinking of getting into cubing and even though all I have right now is a new Rubick's brand, I hope to basically earn my ability to make use of speed cubes. Just have to say this one is the best I've come across so far. My dad taught me how to solve this when I was in my twenties. I could do it in less than 20 steps. My dad died in 1995 and now I'm 68 and wish I would've remembered. I've purchased books on it and looked at KZread. Finally today I was able to do it again, although much more than 20 moves. Thanks for the clear instructions. Concise and to the point.

Edit: This comment was posted in the summer of 2019, since then I've bought some really nice cubes, solved it probably hundreds of times, and got my PB down to 1:13... And I'm back cause somehow I forgot how to make the yellow cross Edit: Christmas 2021, forgot how to make the yellow cross again

I couldn't solve the Yellow corners. Every time I'm ending up with 1 yellow corner on the side !!! that is not matching with any of the 3 possible causes. What will be the algorithm when we have Yellow cross and all 3 corners on top?

What if you solve the white top, but dont have the tetris pieces on the sides?

Jacob Cook it just means you need to Rearrange the white corners. Make sure that if you have a corner piece for example orange white green. Say that the orange corner is facing you make sure it’s diagonal to the orange piece in the middle, however you don’t want the white piece on the bottom make sure for example the orange and white are facing the front and with our example green on the bottom. As long as you match up the other colors for the white corners like that(of course there’s other colors), it should help. Does that make sense hopefully, not sure if that sounded confusing

Hey I was having the same problem. The reason you're not getting the Tetris is because when you're filling in the white you have to remember to match the corners with their corresponding colors like he says at 9:19. If you're just putting them anywhere to solve the white side you're not going to get the Tetris.

If anyone wants a cube solved and doesn’t really care how it’s done bc you’re friend messed. It up or you just gave up download solve it in AppStore it’ll solve it. For you but you gotta type in all the colors so. If you mistype one it’ll mess it up so just double check when you typed it in okay well byeee
