@@Ghost19_ Not sure if I can describe it very well, but basically, when you turn a side, the pieces all go in a circle, so they make it so that the pieces are all rounded to fit that circle perfectly. imo if you know how to solve a 5x5 or 6x6, you're pretty much all set. if you know how to create centers, edges, and fix oll parity you can think of the 21x21 as a larger version of a 5x5/6x6
@nabranestwistypuzzler7019

Hey John You can do it with only 5x5x5 knowledge if you also learn center commutators, plus doing the ring thing he showed in the video including bringing the other pieces for the bar from the previous rings down for easier insertion helps a lot with larger puzzles like this.
This definitely seems like it would be more fun with a digital cube. The occasional popped piece was truly terrifying, but even just turning the thing seemed like an absolute pain.

Now that you’ve solved the physical version, you should see how much time you can shave by using a digital version. Also, do you think it would be faster to solve the cube by disassembling and reassembling it?
@JPerm
2 жыл бұрын
I might try a cube simulator! Also it would definitely be slower to reassemble than to just solve. It would be harder to find the right piece, I still only solve one piece at a time. In my solve I average about 9-10 seconds per piece solved, and reassembling would take so much longer than that to get a piece to attach.

Jesus, I was dreading edge parity for you. I hated doing that on a 5x5, found it miserable on a 7x7 (to be fair, I've only ever had a VCUBE 7x7), and couldn't imagine what you'd get. Honestly, I never wanted to solve larger than a 5x5 because it's a chore. And DAMN when you got that double center pop, those are some absurd looking pieces. 23:35 "Hope I don't mess up now!" instant jam, tries to realign, forces it and messes it up again. bruh lmao... also that editing on the fix xD Anyway, thanks for the video! Wow just wow! Aside from how awesome it is to solve these cubes, the engineering of Rubik's Cubes just amazes me. The repair you did, putting pieces back in, showed the internal structure of the pieces, and that gave me a clue as to how intricate and balanced the structure of the cube is. Not having tried to solve any Rubik's Cube myself, I found this fascinating.

Waiting patiently for my 17x17 in the mail, and while it won't be quite as tortuous as this 21x21x, it will be a step up from my biggest cube so far, the 11x11. Thanks for suffering through this solve so I can get a small glimpse at what I will only have to deal a little bit with!
All that work deserves a like

Good job!!!👏👏👏
The dedication the guy has is insane
The craziest thing about this for me is how well the cube turns without just breaking all the time with all of those little moving parts.

Truly incredible. The dedication you put into your career, your videos, and your cube solves is truly inspiring. Also thank you for teaching me CFOP. My pb went for 46 to 15 in just 2 weeks!

That was insanely impressive!!!
Nice solve! I love the LTTP Dark World undertones in the music, too!
Amazing. What's also amazing is "How the hell was it put together?!" And from reading the comments section I think you should do a video on the inside of the cube. And maybe pull one apart completely and then reassemble it.
@AzraJ
Жыл бұрын
That would take way too much effort for him I think 😅 Like I would die of anxiety if my £1000+ cube couldn’t assemble properly again haha
The way I solve the last 2 centers on bigger cubes like 7x7+ is by switching rows with few right pieces with rows that have many correct pieces. Especially in the beginning, it's more efficient than commutator the larger the cubes get. After it's no longer possible to solve pieces intuitively like that, I use commutators
You deserve a thumbs up and sub bro.. good job.. that's one hell of a cube.. 🤣🤣
Hats Off to you man! Incredible stuff!!

Fun fact: that was the real earth, j-perm is actually god, the first 3x3 was a 21x21, and the one he solved was a 10000x10000

Holy heckin' heck dude - massive respect for the sheer amount of endurance and patience this must have taken. I'm away to look up what's inside one of these things - my mind boggles at how complex the pieces that fell out look.
Astonishing. I'm glad there are some people who have brains that can work this way-- because mine sure can't.
The dedication is just top notch. 👍

Only one word can describe this: hell
Setting this up/lubing would be absolute pain. Being the people who put it together would be absolute pain. This being a WCA event would be absolute pain. But being on a plane, and this exploding in your bag Would be absolute *_HELL_*
I can say with 100% certainty that my brain does not work this way. Kudos to you!
That was reeeeaally impressive!! Congrats man!
DUDE that is crazy. The fact that you did that without taking a break you completed it good job
great job!
Words cannot describe your persistance to spend over 6 entire hours of nonstop turning (and pop fixing). This is what encourages me to keep on going when solving big rubik's cubes myself. Also, I just want to ask where you bought that cube from and how much it costs. I really enjoy solving big cubes from how time consuming and endurance-testing it is. I haven't seen any more videos of you solving the 21x21 though, and I was wondering if you would still play with it. It has been my dream to solve such a big cube like a 21x21, and I was wondering if I could buy it off you for a decent price (you may know that cubes as big as these can become very expensive, being around 1500 american dollars). I do understand if you do not accept this deal, so I would also like to ask where is the best platform to buy big rubik's cubes.
