@@AndrewTateOfficial You're wrong. Gunn is responsible for picking the music. Sometimes a director will get suggestions, but Gunn chooses the soundtrack himself as what he also did with Guardians of the Galaxy. The score is done by the composer

This band is a hidden gem.

Well, I have been a huge fan of the Decemberists for years. I can sure see a big difference in the way the the band has evolved. This album sure is a lot different sounding then past albums like “castaways and cutouts”. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad album, It just means the Decemberists are changing and evolving. And I still enjoy all their music. In fact I can easily say they are my favorite band.

Ironically, this song sounds very Let it Be era Beatles...which was another album from another band evolving their sound in a completely different way

Gives me the chills everything I listen to this song. Thank you James for introducing me to this amazing song.

This was a great song to introduce Bloodsport because the section at 1:12 reflects where his character is at the beginning, and 2:16 shows the arc he goes on throughout the film. James Gunn, you are an absolute master of jukebox storytelling!

I found this song about 2 years ago from a local radio station when our radio wasn’t getting any other stations, I’m Mexican American so I don’t really hear this type of music but this song was so amazing and when I heard it play in Suicide Squad I was so happy it got the recognition it deserved!

I didnt read all coments so if some one already pointed this out good. This song is not depressing or a sing along suicide song. Listen to the whole thing ... it is acctually one of the few that shows a way out of the loneliness that we all seem to revel in.

Despite wanting to end myself several times a month, I CARE about everyone else, and if I could help aby one of you I would- it's just a demoralizing American dystopia out there, and people are tired and lonely and FED UP. But some of us still care, even if it costs us everything to do so. Please know ~I~ CARE. About you, about literally everyone alive. Its like Rimbaud, not grim baude. Rimbaud is a french poet, in my opinion the best of all time, who influenced Dylan, Morrsion, and many many more.
