    This is such a masterpiece movie. Does not seem like comic book movie but work of art - like the Dark Knight trilogy. When Rorschach says "...do it..." the first time, goosebumps!

    Does it matter what is canon? DC reboots things all the time. It's not like a book series where there is canon events. One minute Batman is a human and detective, the next he is giving Darksied a beatdown. Canon means very little in comics the majority of the time.

    I partly get the die-hard graphic novel fans hating on this movie when it was first released, but quite honestly, in retrospect, it's actually a damn good, underrated movie. Possibly one of the best superhero movies ever made in fact.

    The crappy thing about the situation was that millions were already dead. If he had told everyone what really happened it would have all been for naught. Plus, in the extended story his report got out and Veidt's plot was revealed and what followed was a nuclear war. It really was a no-win situation.

    He means humanity and not single individual. Even if Rorschach is dead in this universe what he does prevents a nuclear war, in other words he sacrificed millions of people to save billions, so that humanity continues to live

    He can control matter at the molecular level. He could have done anything, saving his life but depriving him of the opportunity to convey the terrible truth to others. He could have put him in a “golden cage,” but instead he brutally exterminated him. A true American.

    The score playing whilst we witness the conflict within Dr Manhattan before the kill. You could feel his hesitation and knowing that he'll always have regret, but that there's no choice in the matter. They make you see the immense concern in the doc's eyes Brilliant scene!

    As a Watchmen cómic fan, i have to say this scene is definitely 1000x times better than the comic Here you can see the last time where Dr. Manhattan shows humanity when he don't want to kill Rorschach And Dan Dreiberg caring about his friend, screaming suffering for his death, getting anger and punching Ozymandias The comic version is so edgy lol

    Watchmen is the most important comic in superhero's comic history. There is not such a thing as "the first super hero", Teseo was a superhero. Hercules was a superhero. Son Goku. They always existed. But Watchmen and the death of Gwen were the single most important moments in S.H. comics.

    I think at some point he began to ask himself if it was worth it - if mankind needed an omnipotent tyrant forcing them not to kill each other then maybe they didn't deserve to live. He also learned from the Vietnam war that even if he means well when takes direct action he may just end up making things worse.

    Not Rorschach, Ozzymandias. This was all a plan from Ozzymandias from the start. Manhattan, Rorschach and the rest were just pawns in his game, and the biggest loser was Rorschach. And before it is said that Rorschach won at the end, no, he didn't. The World still held up Ozzymandias as the hero, and his plot then was discovered to have failed because a whole bunch of people died after. That was what was not shown here on this film.

    ​@albertwesker6153 I'm not usually a fan or Snyder films but Watchmen is a decent adaptation. A lot of what was cut would have heavily confused audiences imo, but tbf still would have been cool.

    Rorschach had so many flaws, but he stuck to his principles regardless....even in the face of Armageddon.

    The irony is, there's no such thing as "human nature" (as it's usually understood). That very "nature" is always formed by the environment the human grows in and forms as a person.
