Okay I have finally figured out how Mark Felton can produce so many detailed stories. He is a time traveler who went back to WW2 with a camera and notebook and got all this info and then came back to do this series. It's the only explanation. Great video

I was newly stationed in Germany in 1992...all new soldiers and their families (if accompanied) were sent on a several day trip to Berchtesgaden. We stayed at the General Walker Hotel (which was previously the SS Garrison barracks) and by that time Hitler's house was reduced to nearly the foundation. Took every tour that was available and enjoyed the bunker tour. Also the safe that the 101st tried to blow open, displaying the massive hole that the bazooka left was impressive as well. I imagine that all of it is gone now.

Worst damn duty assignment I had in my entire career, both Nacy and Army…pure $hit! Every soldier and their newly arrived dependents were all sent to Berchtesgaden and we stayed in the General Walker Hotel. There were hundreds of us…bus loads. Once we finished Head Start (did you not do Head Start either?) we loaded in up and headed south. Might have been arranged by the USO but, I know that everyone stationed on the Mannheim area Kaserne’s went. I was in NATO…but, that didn’t have anything to do with who went.

Mr. Felton please consider making a video about Wojtek the Polish bear. It’s such a great story to tell!

Thanks for the video. Schneewinkellehen belonged to my grandmother's father's family, Friedrich Gottlieb Bever and his wife Marie Louise Ivers. Their daughter takes over the house (from what I understand) and she then marries Rudolf Berliner. They are the last owners of the house before Himmler takes over.

It makes me wonder that most of the gold recovered by the Americans ended up back in America melted down and re-stamped. All history shows is pictures and film showing all of the large hauls of gold found in the salt mines. I'd be interested to know what happened to it. Carry on with the great videos.

Interestingly there's a book, "The Strange Death of Heinrich Himmler", that discusses the topic. The GOLD, that is. Before that though as the title implies is the conspiracy theory of exactly what happened after HH was captured. Read it and WEEP! Explosive allegations are laid bare..💥💥☠

Excellent addition to the Himmler series, Dr Felton. Post war life must have difficult for Himmler’s children. On a side note, does anyone else think that Himmler’s mistress looked like a younger version of his wife?

"If I looked like himmler, I wouldn't go on about race so much." - one of his generals at a meeting. Mad shagger that he was, I'm sure it wasn't all down to his chiselled Aryan appearance.
