I beat the entire game on normal with a magna charge and 1 of each vehicle type. the only level that almost got me was the train one, the vehicle's shields are way too strong .

Nightmare is a lot harder. More things to dodge, and the shadow bots are really annoying.

It's heartwarming to see this community still thriving even after many years of no installments in the series.

Damn... this reminds me of my first ever superchargers playthrough.... I played on nightmare mode and when the darkness had only like 8% of his hp left, the game glitched. I could drive to the end of this portal, tunnel or whatever this is. The darkness diasppeared. I fell off the edge. It was not fun.

This was probably one of my favorite boss fights in the series. Definitely a step up from Kaos going from finally making a truly great boss fight in the last game to being mediocre again.

Skylanders is the only series that can make characters named "Kaos" and "The Darkness" entertaining.

During my first playthrough, I thought that he looked kinda cool. Then I realized he had a mustache like Ron Swanson. I couldn't take him seriously after that. Even during that final battle all I could see was the Ron Swanson mustache.

This is why I like to consider imaginators and spin off. First you have the credits roll then it turns into a plot twist and introduces the true final boss. Then Eon gives his big long speech to the Portal Master. Then you finish the battle and Kaos joins your side. Then in imaginators he’s evil again? Not to mention the Doom Raiders and other trap bosses are playable good guys. This is truly the finale of this legendary game series

The engine parts weren’t originally on The Darkness. He just used the remains of the Sky Eater to try and strengthen himself.

Funny you should mention that because there was originally a piece of dialogue that was discontinued for the actual game, but it referred to Spitfire directly by the Darkness as “son.” I would have loved that head canon to be real!!

As someone who hated that most bosses were vehicle segments in Superchargers, I loved this boss fight. It was so awesome

Unfortunately I was stuck with the very poorly made Wii version but if a game warrants this degree of masterful humour I need to get some sort of console I can play this on. This is fantastic

Possibly my favorite skylanders game and boss, from the music to the way I imagined myself in the seat of my power blue gold rusher, this battle was made way too hype by my imagination lol But man is it good to see skylanders content still being made somehow on youtube

1:05 - 2:44 idk if it was intentional, but seeing Spit Fire & Hotstreak battle the Darkness while gas gas gas is playing, is so bad ass

Man, I still remember a few years ago when me and my little brother played though this boss on the Nightmare Difficulty, he took out ALL of our Skylanders and we lost, but after our second playthrough, we manage to beat the Darkness after losing around half of our Skylanders, and it was gratifying. So overall, while not the best final boss in Skylanders (I think Skylanders Giants' final boss is incredible), I can safely say that this is a HUGE step up from Skylanders Trap Team.

At the time this video was made, I think this battle represents us ending 2020 and moving into 2021 which wasnt as horrible.
