This song makes me happy, nostalgic, sad and hopeful all at the same time… that’s something when a song can do that. 💙 Only the Darkness could do that.

I’m embarrassed to admit this but I’m just discovering The Darkness. How on earth did I miss this? What a brilliant band, I love them! I’m buying all the albums one at a time and binge listening, I’m only up to Hot Cakes but I just absolutely love everything they do. So talented. Hopefully they tour the states next year.

I never came across this video back in the day (I Believe in a Thing Called Love, all the time), but I have never before see a music video that picks up directly where another one left off. That’s brilliant.

I like how this video is a direct sequel to the I Believe in a Thing Called Love-video, and how it means that 1) Justin managed to make a complete change of cat suits, in the middle of a crash landing and 2) that the female alien and the four-armed towel monster is not stranded on the beach with the boys, so... they must have gone down with the ship and is now perished at the bottom of the sea 🥲

I have been listening to this on almost every Thursdays in anticipation of Friday, and on Fridays to keep my mood up!

Pretty sure permission to land was the first CD I ever bought myself when i was 13 years old. still the best album of the last 20 years 🤘

I remember dancing to this CD and pretending to be Justin Hawkins as a 12 year old Catholic school girl.

I'm from the States but had just moved to England when this album came out, and I loved it. It will always remind me of those times. I hate songs with the days of the week in them though, but that's ok.
