The Darkness have now moved into the legendary rock band category. They have had a consistent quality and have now built up their song and album catalogue to the point where they have many classics. They remind me of a band like Cheap Trick in terms of great songs, longevity, consistency and an amazing live band. There are very few rock bands like The Darkness in 2021.

Grew up hearing Permission to land, last time I hear about this guys was in 2014. Yesterday I found out this, and spent all day catching up. Just when I was contemplating the dullness of my life, there they come: my heroes

These guys give me life. I love that they embrace the rad costumes and B rated movie vibes. Nothing sexier than dudes who don't care that they're silly. They just know they rock. Btw the drummer is the son of the drummer for Queen. Brilliant!!!

@@scneese64 It is Roger Taylor's son, Rufus, but he was born in 1991, and Radio Gaga came out in '84. But I'm guessing he might be named after George Carlin's character in Bill and Ted's for his awesome ability to shred on futuristic guitars. If you had to think of rock band that became what the Wyld Stallions was in those movies, you couldn't ask for a better one than The Darkness.

The Darkness does "rock ballad" as only the Darkness can... Which is amazing AF as always!

'Nother great tune, boys. I approve.

That chorus is insanely good.

The Darkness what a fantastic band!!!! Justin Rides again is well worth checking out!

I like these guys. Thought they were a Queen pisstake 16 years ago but they prove to be their own. Need more of this on radio today.

Never know fully what you'll get with this band...creative...underrated...

My favourite of all time

So late to the Darkness party, this song is sublime. I could kick myself missing all these years and I find them NOW!!!!! Better late than never, I suppose. Sobs into laptop 🥲

This really harks back to the classic sound of their first two albums. Excellent. More like this please chaps.

I love this album. Since I discovered this, The Darkness became my love. What a wonderful rock music with amazing lyrics, great playing and sense of humour. Thank you for this. I also discovered older albums and I am wonder why I did not do it earlier. And I love rock ballads as this. It usualy makes me thinking about life and rememering old loves.
