Few years ago one Yazidi lady who survived gang rapes and torture by ISIS was cancelled from giving her scheduled talk to school children in Canada because the school felt it will lead to Islamophobia. We never see global outrage and protest marches in support of Yazidi people and against the atrocities of ISIS. We never saw the people of that community who follow ISIS faith make protests against ISIS and say they dont follow their faith in true sense. Ofcourse many brave Iraqi and Syrian soldiers fought hard against ISIS and pushed them down. Why doesnt the world show same support to Syrian Arabs and Yemen people or Iran women especially who all suffer under their rulers.

I would like to inform you that nowhere in Islam does it command us to do evil things like this. Here in Sweden, our immigration office has to refuse Yazidi asylumseekers. Swedish "Migrationsverket" has problems with muslim employee's loyal to islamic extremist organisations. The employee's shared the information on Yazidi refugees in Sweden. Their locations, Id and photos. So islamic extremists could harass them where ever they was placed during the Yazidi's asylum proceedings. So Sweden is not a safe destination for some minorities seeking asylum. That's what we got for all multiculturalism in Sweden 😮‍💨

I can promise you that all muslims are against any form of terrorism and hate ISIS and whoever is doing their best to create chaos. Try seeing things from my perspective (I'm muslim): After the Charlie Hebdo attacks, I walked into class (I was 15yo then) and the teacher I had looked at me in the eyes during the class and asked me, "Why do they do this?", as if I knew them or I had any idea why these crazy people were doing this, cuz I've known Islam my whole life and know that this isn't it, and I had to suck it up. Now, if you really want to know about it, ISIS killed more muslims and created problems around the world and the middle east. Please inform yourself on what Islam is, ISIS were funded to destroy and tarnish Islam, so that ignorant people who do not know Islam nor the dynamics of this world may be influenced and all these bad influences may strengthen their power. Ask yourself where did they get funded from? Who may want this to happen? Why do so many muslims get killed at each terrorist attack, if these so called muslims are muslims?...

there are some people talking about it. For the first time in the 21st century the country with the worst problem with terrorist related deaths wasnt a middle eastern country but an African one (forget if it was Nigeria or Burkina Faso) because a ton of jihadis have moved to Africa. That's a big reason why Boko Haram has become one of the worst terrorist groups in the world and why African countries are starting to overtake Middle Eastern countries on the Global Terrorism Index. Right now of the top 10 worst countries on the Global Terrorism Index are African: Burkina Faso, Mali, Somalia, Nigeria, and Niger. Main stream news doesnt go into much detail but they do bring up specific attacks like the famous Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping incident by Boko Haram in Nigeria and they talk about general chaos like Somalia, but there are people like RealLifeLore who talk about it online and go into detail in videos like his recent "why france is actually preparing for war with Russia" video

They are lovely people having met a number of them in Germany. They deserve to be independent from Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria. The biggest culprit keeping them from become an independent country is Erdogan the President of Turkey, a nasty man who who refuses to accept the genocide perpetrated by the Turks assisted by the Kurds who accepted responsibility for their part against the Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians (Syrians) who were Christians forced to convert to Islam through barbaric methods. I've worked 30 years as a teacher teaching the Dutch language to foreigners. In all those years I've heard horrible stories from refugees. The Yezidi children were a league of their own. They were taken and living as hostages on the mountain. Gruesome and unbelievably horrifying the things they experienced. I will never ever forget.

Everything that this terror group did, comes directly from the Quran and Hadith. But No-one should say it.

Many thanks for producing this very important piece on the Yazidi genocide. This is something that is especially close to my heart because while I am Irish I have been in Iraq, and now north east Syria, since 2014. Just before ISIS invaded Mosul and all hell literally, and figuratively, broke out. I met them when they arrived first at Bajid Kandal days after ISIS attacked Sinjar. I worked on the mass exhumations which took place in 2019. I got to know many Yazidis and worked with Yazda in 2019/20 on capacity development programs, visited Lalish just last year. My humanitarian life has been completely intertwined with the peaceful Yazidis and their plight. There are also some even more horrific events which you did not touch on, and thats probably for the best, but ISIS have never actually fully gone away. There are 1000s of the most battle hardened fighters stuck in prisons throughout the area of Syria I'm in now and low level attacks happening all the time. I fear that if the USA troops leave here then all hell will break loose once again. This time I dont think the international community will come to the rescue of the Syrians, Iraqis, Kurds Yazidis, etc...

Yes. Hadiths and Quran, whenever they mention a "disbeliever", always mension some form of hateful, demonizing, and violent action in regards to them. ISIS is not only a valid interpretation of Islam. It's arguably THE interpretation of it. This isn't a religion, this is a world enemy that must be defeated.

They had slaughter and displaced muslim like the al shaitat and bu nimr tribes and their is video evidence of their crimes. also the university you named are not of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah but of the sufi sect which is very deivent because of their grave worshiping and the schools creed is mixed up with Al-Ashari and Al-Maturidi which is a different creed to what the prophet and his compaions.

What are you talking about? People talk about and know what’s happening in Syria too. It’s just a very low level conflict nowadays with very few deaths compared to Russian Ukrainian war and Israel Gaza war. Which is why more people are talking about those wars than Syrian civil wars. ISIS is mostly gone, there are very few ISIS fighters left. It’s not a double standard.

When ISIS was still at large, not a single person in the Arab world did not talk about them. The same is true for the Syrian civil war, the Yemeni civil war, the Libyan civil war, and the Sudanese civil war. Thing is, those events were not shown to the western world, to YOU, because they did not involve "the only democracy in the middle east" and "god's chosen people".
