tbh the name itself isnt that much of an issue, the issue is that Clowning has stated she creates the names through word association, meaning that the best she could come up with when associating "asian" was basically "ching chang cho chong"

A significant portion does contain words/characters that are tonally similar to “Ching Chang Chong”… of course there are words that don’t but even so it’s not an uninformed or inaccurate stereotype. But then topics like the dark web, space and cryptids pop up and its always to engrossing and so interesting. Ethan reminds me so much of my cousin whom I love dearly and I've been watching Sean for several years. Its chill and such a fantastic listen while I draw or write. I cant sing it's praises enough. Keep up the good work!

I think it's kinda funny how they wonder why a person wouldn't want their information to be seen by companies unless it's illegal right before a NordVPN sponsorship.
I love that every episode they start brainstorming things they could do on the podcast
You know that game show called "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" that was basically a trivia show about geography for kids in the 90s? I found out recently that the showrunners had to update the answers to its questions constantly when filming between seasons and also put disclaimers at the end of its episodes that the answers would probably be out of date by the time an episode aired. I mean one country became two during its run time, so there can't be a single bit of trivia in it that still applies today. Shit's wild to me, maps and globes must need an update constantly.
I accidentally skipped 20 mins in right after the intro, and this is such a chaotic podcast it just flowed like nothing was off. and I listened to a whole conversation about making up myths and baby bones before realizing.
I swear this podcast is like hanging out with friends that I dont have
This podcast is just a way for Sean to air out all his political and topical views and I’m here for it 😂😂
An episode without shitting your pants, the boys sure are grown up now
Also, please never stop doing the advert segments any other way. I love actually listening to you two talk and joke and maybe mess up during them. They feel more human and I don't like skipping over them anymore
59:12 I ADORE the utter acceptance of “talk first, think later” and the sh!z that marches out y’all’s mouth. Maps actually get updated fairly often due to places changing names and such. There are people on Tiktok I love watching who can tell when a globe was made just from what countries are on it, like "This shows an East and West Germany, so it was before this date, but it also has Such-and-such-enstein, so it was after this date."

I highly reccomend to all the leakers out here to watch/listen to each episode all at once. The topic jumps are so frequent and random that coming back to it after a break of any length can have you coming back to lines like "Oh Louis, I'm Cumming" and "Yeah, we should do a podcast underwater" with no further context

They don’t have to keep updating the map each year because as crank said, the continents only move 1.5cm a year. Which is completely unseeable when looking from as high up as a satellite.

"Is it against religion to believe in aliens?" Not in Judaism, no. But when people say 'religion' they mean 'Christianity' and they're like 50/50 split on it. Gonna suck for them when first contact happens. It'll be pretty dope for me, though.

Hold up does the torah mention aliens in it or like how do Jewish people believe in aliens
@morganqorishchi8181
2 ай бұрын
@@strangerscience3659It's complicated. Functionally, there's two answers: 1. Basically, while the Torah describes life on Earth, it never says life doesn't exist on other planets. We also don't have demons, so the thing some Christians do where they refer to aliens as demons isn't a thing. So basically, in Judaism (and in some branches of Islam, too), aliens are just people like anybody else and it's silly to think that this is the only world with life on it when it never says that in the original text. The original text probably just focuses on Earth because that's the planet *we* live on and it wouldn't have been beneficial for ancient people to be told about other civilizations they weren't going to meet. 2. The Torah/Bible/Quran talks about Adam and Eve's children marrying other people in the land but doesn't explain who those people were. Some people take that to mean aliens. Some people think that means Neanderthals. It's a subject of some debate. Regardless, it sets precedence in all Abrahamic faiths of non-humans who are people, meaning believing in aliens is not much of a stretch. When you've already realized that 'person' can mean different species, aliens are just an extension of that. These two things combine into a pretty pro-alien attitude in Judaism. There's no proof they're not out there, but there is proof in the Torah that they would be/are people if they did/do exist.
@morganqorishchi8181
2 ай бұрын
@@strangerscience3659Jewish philosophy is that the Torah only describes Earth. That doesn't mean there aren't aliens or that they aren't people. A person is defined in Jewish doctrine as someone capable of intelligent thought. Also we don't have demons. So the whole Christian fundamentalist "aliens are demons" thing doesn't work. We're chill with aliens.
