I still dont understand how someone was able to unlink my supercell ID from my coc account without using my email... Just got a notification via email from supercell it was unlinked and that was it. They didnt lift a finger to help me get it back...

They social engineer the support agent by pretending to be you. Supercell ID is not a security feature. You need to turn on account protection in the settings, which will give you recovery codes. This is likely what your thief did. Once they turn on account protection, support will not help you recover your account.

Speaking from experience from losing and recovering my account, this video is very well put. I’ve played this game for 10 years and I can’t begin to imagine what I would do if I lost it. Everyone pls, put account protection of your supercell ID. I did not know it was this easy to steal someone’s account. Thank you for this video man👍🏽 you might’ve saved so many people from losing so many memories and time

All I had to do to get my old account back was say I bought €5 gem pack 7 years ago

I'm glad I didn't keep Christmas trees from back when I was playing in the earlier years of the game. Guess that's how I avoided my th14 being stollen 😂

for those that dont know about the new security measures please turn it on, in game settings, then connected to go to supercell id, settings again, and scroll down to account protection to link them to your number and get 3 permanent codes if you ever lose access thats how you get them back, with those codes.

Someone stole my account and i send 38 mail to supercell customer service but couldn't recover my 7 year old account and i was even active player.

They stalk maxed accounts and crack them then steal them and finally sell them. And yes IP is the key for proving you used to own an account.

I have an account that’s th10 and that acc got hacked recently they somehow changed mail then put in their number so I don’t own the acc anymore and supercell support say they can’t do anything……

As someone who has been selling clash of clans Accounts pretty succesfully a couple years ago I can say that at least 90% of the Accounts getting sold are stolen or "phished". Also, the reason for the low prices are pretty much because there is more supply then demand, since a lot of the existing fanbase stopped playing and not as much new players came to the game. The prices have been dropping since ever and u had to pay hundreds, if not over a thousand in the early days for maxed accounts.

@@lavaguanix6804I’ve seen a lot of Asian players who rush the game in the lower leagues. I have had accounts which have constantly been attacked by players with similar character names and the same base layout which makes me think it’s some sort of macro or engine that plays the game for you.

@@Sommen No I didn't, I was a reseller meaning I bought accounts and then sold them for slightly higher prices. I was like 15 when I did this and my goal was to just make some pocket money to buy my PC. That still doesn't morally justify my actions I know. But I wasn't directly stealing accounts, rather making a business of the stolen ones.

One of the grey areas these guys exploit is the acc protection , once turned on the support conversation doesnt go the way u said in ur video, they ask for ur mobile number or recovery codes. Altho its an excellent feature , it can be a double edged sword if u didn't enable it as these hackers enable it and once its enabled its ggs for the acc

it's also possible they switch location to where the currency difference causes gems to cost less than what they sell for

I have purchased many accounts around 14-20 or so, 6 or so have been taken back but I recently purchased the same account 2 years later from a completely different seller completely on accident. I only knew it was one of my old accounts that got taken back due to the friends list having my friends in it and my other accounts. All of these purchased accounts were located in Bangladesh, I dont know how they originally get these accounts but their tactic is that they somewhat recycle them. They will sell it, steal it back in 4 months where u could have purchased gems passes upgraded the base ect, and they will sell it for more rinse and repeat.

My friend bought a fully maxed th 15 before 16 was released and it was banned in 6 months. I’ve also bought from the same website he did but my accounts haven’t been banned. He was really good at the game getting 3 stars every game even when the difficulty of the game was at its peak so he may have been spotted that way but it seems that supercell won’t ban inactive bases for trading but when it’s obvious another person is playing on that account.

I Want to add one more point like I am playing clash of clans from 6 years and I have found many of these guys who joins clan do advertisement and say contack this social media platforms and even shares personal contact info to sell your accounts ...... So players who got bored from COC and want to quit a good amount of people prefering to sell those accounts and the reason is if they sell it is hard to start from the beginning and It is easy for them to let it go ...... My so many friends have sold their accounts at these fishy websites and some even got money too

Vietnamese Credit card fraud was the reason behind Global Chat's removal. Gems were effectively 50% cheaper in certain top player circles, and max accounts are more common than average players imagine.

In my friend's clan 10+ max COC accounts were hacked and gone. Tried to recover those accounts but all was in vain. Suppercell support says random stuffs and none works.

Hey, back in 2017 my account was hacked and the hacker sold my account to multiple persons and after 2-3 years i did the same thing you were explaining as i was the origitnal owner i knew every answer and i got my account back

I have bought it probably 10 accounts so far but i have one maxed one level 400 that I take care of only.

In 2020 this happened to us. Me and my brother and czns lost our accounts to some Indian person, in a night. The clan was taken over and many names were changed. I was maxes TH12/13, I don't remember, but it was 1000% maxed except for a few pieces of walls. The person used my thousands of gems for this wall pieces and chang the names. My czn recovered his accounts and my brother's main account was not recovering. I recovered my main account and few others., In a week or so, all accounts were recoverwd excpet my second main account. I was trying to recover it every now and then. Finally recovered it after 2/3 years.

I lost my townhall 10 account. Stupid customer support is not helpful to get back. I bought an account which was townhall 11 later. But deleted the account through in-game support as I feeled akward playing an account I didn't max.

Ahhh yea there are a lot of hacked accounts being re-sold, but from what I've seen there are a lot of people from poorer countries (pakistan, india etc) that have account farms going because its a lot better than working a job

Turning account protection on literally stops all of this, it's that simple
