Great video but one point to note. Streaming live video content takes a lot of bandwidth. On Tor, everything is so slow because your packets are going through 3 different hops across the world. Keeping these points in mind, i think that services which offer Red Rooms are 99% if not 100% fake. Live streaming on top of live interaction via a chat on Tor is highly improbable. Not to mention the legal aspects: if you plan to run a red room, you'd instantly attract the attention of the law who actively scour the dark web for such content. Live streaming would create a lot of noise on the Tor network so the law enforcement can possibly try to de-anonymise you via network traffic patterns.

The problem with anonymity arises even in the surface web, because people blissfully ignore that everyone can trace you at any time for any reason. And that onion and any dark web is the other side where people think it's actually anonymous, when in reality there's backlogs of everything that still have the virtual print off the ISP servers.

I always love coming back to this video. It's one of the very few videos I've seen that actually explains correctly the difference between the deep and the dark web

If I'm not mistaken, part of the reason that the US gov wanted to make TOR publicly available was to help people in communist countries and authoritarian dictatorships ect able to anonymously and securely see outside info on the internet. It's one way (more advanced than a simple VPN) to try to bypass things like "the great firewall" although I wouldn't be surprised if China now has ways to combat/block and possibly locate people using TOR these days, especially if not many ppl are using it and the gov control all the internet infrastructure that it's traveling over within China.

You just described how all our rights work and why chipping at them ends up being a bad idea. Kudos. You may not have meant it, but every single aspect of the video about why we need a "dark web" is also, coincidentally, discussing why halting rights "for the greater good" ends up severely damaging mostly law-abiding citizens and does little to halt the targets.
