I had synastry with a male friend who was already in a relationship some years ago where our moons were conjunct each other's north nodes. Pluto was also heavily involved in the synastry, but I suspect the north node-moon contacts were the bigger culprits. It was an absolute emotional obsession. It's what essentially brought me to learn more about astrology in a deeper way- what was happening between us didn't feel like something normal and I needed answers to understand that intense experience and why he felt like such an important person. It was absolutely a situation of temptation to do something immoral/selfish that I thankfully did not do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Lada!

I'm a Scorpio Sun and Rising. My North Node is in Scorpio and I have Rahu in my 1st house..

I am a North Node in VIRGO in 6th House. I spend my youth with long periods of germaphobic thoughts, and fell into the classic catalog of crazy behavior of a neat freak (bulimia, cleansing, anxious exercising and scheduling), with less and less results, and more and more stress. I learned valuable things on my way, but the obsession always turned what I tried into destructive pattern shortly after. And I am also strongly neptunian, so the delusion ran wild for some years. I guess only time (precious Saturn!) and the transits that we have along our life can help us with to mature p the voracious nature of the calling of our Rahu. The rest of my chart has helped me to find balance little by little. I still learning, my Pisces in 12th house helps me every time to find balance of my Virgonian impulse. And viceversa.

I always be looking at the timemark never wanting her to shut up.

My north node is in DIRECT, I’ve been searching for what it means.🤔 I have heard theories, but I’m curious your interpretation. I have it conjunct mars, mercury, Uranus and Neptune, trine Jupiter. I’ve actually spoken to you- randomly.☺️. Thank you for sharing your work ☺️ My life has been incredibly strange and even if I stay at home all year… many things can happen to me 🫣. I have no addictions, but it could be because I’m an incredibly disciplined and mature person, or at least I would like to think so. I do not like to abuse people or use people, but I recognized my capabilities . But, i value to live my life more grounded and loving.

This is interesting. My Rahu/NN is 10th house, and I typically shrink from promotion.... 🤷🙂

I used to believe in north node as a point where ppl overcome fears and gain power in their life but recently after reviewing 10 solar returns chart of 10 consecutive years , I had different thought about the node axis . To me this axis brings traumas ( South node ) and Chaos ( North Node ) into our lifes. As Lada mentioned in the title : TEMPTATION AND OBSESSION , DISHONESTY and Predators lurk. Those words match perfectly with each years the node axis brings into my life. In my solar year which has the north node in 7th ( 11 degree , If you study Nicola material , you know what I am talking about ) , I have encountered a complete bold face liar and manipulator who have caused so much trauma to me . In the solar year which the north node in the 3rd , I was so into going to a new place in my city , just for temptation and inevitably it was a waste of time. In the solar year north node in my 10th house, I was so tempted of trying a new career path that I made a fool out of myself. Last year the north node conjunct my moon in the 12th of my solar chart, a lot of nihilistic thinking just jumped into my mind ( Moon ) when I sleep ( 12th) such as why we live on this earth, what the universe is made out of, what make the dust , such scary and even suicidal thoughts can never leave my mind alone and make me feel very empty inside . I guess those questions belong the subconcious world of 12th house . Some may argue that in mistake we can learn , well it is true but not in my case, just temptation which eventually turns into chaos. In contrast, the Sun position is where I find the most positive growth and learning experience in the solar year. Thanks Lada for this explaination of the nodes and again from now on, I will try to avoid all the irrelevant temptation that nodes push towards me because I would not repeat the history.

Side note to affirm your observations here… Two people upon going through my Saturn return entered my life with their Suns conjunct my north node, directly opposing my moon. To be honest, I have always loved my Sagittarius pals, but there is always something I haven’t been able to trust about them due to their obvious displays of promiscuity, frivolity, and detachment, lack of commitment, addiction tendencies specifically with thirst for fame, etc. I have observed these traits within myself and questioned what these people are here to teach me. All planets in others that conjunct my node have taught me so much about my own self worth and value. I’ve observed ALL of these traits you list in my Sag friends. And what I truly value is the opposite…

In the churning story, I never understood why Vishnu lied to the Asuras and told them they would get some elixir. Obviously they tricked the Asuras into helping. But even that was sneaky. It all seems very steeped in duality. One is good and one is bad. But we are in this world so I guess that’s what it is. And I have seen Rahu do what you say in my own life especially when I was younger. I hope we all get to use Rahu for the best purposes possible. I never actually had anything. Taken from me, my fiancé sold his bmw to buy a house and it took him forever to even get us a nice family car lol he’s very slow . Yea very smart with money , it’s not super difficult to save I find . My school debt I’ll be paying that for long time as I won’t make huge chunks but that’s okay , it will get down to really low amount and no interest now in our school debts in Canada . I have Rahu conjunct the Moon and Ketu conjunct the sun (born on an eclipse, sun in Gemini in the 8th, moon in Sagittarius in the 2nd). I’m still struggling to understand these placements. My emotions can be very all consuming, but on the other hand I do also tend to be very empathetic and sensitive to other people’s moods and behaviors. I pick up a lot on things below the surface but I find it draining and at times wish I wasn’t receiving the amount of information I am. Where other people might see a fun lively person cracking jokes, upon first meeting them, if that person has deep sadness and darkness I immediately feel it, more so than what others are perceiving, and it is weird and draining and stirs up my own negative feelings. I used to think I was just projecting my feelings (sometimes I still have to check and make sure I’m not) but time and time again when I’ve ignored these perceptions they turned out to be correct. I feel exhausted around people but I crave company and community. Also with rahu in the second house I struggle with a sense of home. I was a child refugee and I never really felt a sense of home anywhere, my adult years so far have been this desperate but often futile search for a stable home, yet never seeming to fully settled and secure :(

Rahu conjunct the moon is a very sensitive position and requires a lot of managing of emotions and ketu with the sun drains a person's confidence. Your understanding of people on a deeper, emotional level is surely draining but can be used as an asset. Have you thought of helping others manage their emotions either professionally or through volunteer work? You have the ability to know another person's pain right away and it can become a benefit if you harness that ability for good. Sorry about your upbringing. That could not have been easy.

I'm actually a yoga teacher (started practicing yoga and other forms of meditation age 14 to help with my emotional sensitivity) so I definitely do use that to try to help myself and other people manage their emotions. I offer coaching to help people manage their emotions through using the body mind-connection (things like learning how to and when to shift the state of your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system), meditation and breathwork. (I'm also a language teacher). However since the start of the pandemic I have struggled with motivation towards teaching and not feeling I'm good enough to teach/ coach, and a general feeling of loss and depression... I'm going through my Saturn return at the moment. Sometimes I feel that I go through phases where I can't do the healing/ helping work I want to because of my emotional intensity- all that I'm feeling gets very overwhelming. I'm intelligent and hardworking, used to frequently outperform other students in schools and went to one of the world's top universities, yet I have always ended up taking 'easy' low paid teaching jobs, partly because I enjoy teaching and helping people, but also because even though I want to do higher paid more challenging work, my emotional sensitivity and processing my emotions seems to be more intense than most other people and it makes it hard for me to be completely consistent in work. Sometimes I excel but there are other times where I really struggle due to my emotional and mental health needing a lot of attention. Thank you for your compassion.

Finally I see what Ketu conjunct moon in 8H I do not like the spotlight and not attracted to anyone that will cause me to be in the spotlight. Plus it Quincunx Pluto. People see me so confident or strong and I totally am very sensitive too much IMO.

I have Rahu close conjunction with mars in the 6th, interesting what is said regarding this aspect.

I use to think Saturn was the Devil, now I see Saturn is more the Old HeadMaster waiting to either hand you detention and put your back a year in life school or give you a Diploma or even Vala Dictorian! With awakening traits, if defined in your life plans Placidus can ring true. But whole house is the events and timing. I find Placidus as inner depth of self path. Not everyone is working now karma charms existence. Some come to clear many lifetimes of karmic trauma, this can be shown in Placidus. Hope that helps. All systems have their strengths and weaknesses.
