As someone who was introduced to this type of stuff as a kid, it’s easy to assume it’s normal or not anything to worry about… until you realize that there’s a child out there that’s still innocent and going to view the same things you saw as a kid. That to me is horrifying, let alone being RESPONSIBLE for such a thing. I’m terrified of anything sexual in reality to the point I had to take anxiety meds just to even think about “roleplaying” it. I’m worried for the kids of future generations. I don’t want them to be like me.

Yeah, I can definitely see where this comment is coming from, back then when I was a child, idk how old but I was young, I did play meepcity alot, never for the party's or anything, this was before I had robux lol, but I've never seen anything dark in meepcity untill a couple years ago. I highly relate to the roleplaying thing, as a child it doesn't seem harmless, you don't care about the person on the other end, the person who could be 10x older than you, the person who could catch you at a vulnerable moment and get you to do really horrible things, as a child nothing matters, but as you grow older you realize how much everything matters, and how the person behind the screen could effect your life or how you can effect theirs, I remember being 12, talking to guys in their 20s, I didn't know there was harm in that untill the day one started suggesting I send him stuff, and as I did it just felt so wrong, but I was emotionally attached to a man that never cared about me, as a child that's the kind of thing you look for, someone who's willing to listen, he listened untill the day I sent him that picture, then from there on out it was only "Can you send me a picture". Im 18 now, bouta be 19 in may 😎 and I still play Roblox, (don't judge me lmao) and I too worry about the next generation of robloxians, it sucks knowing that my younger siblings, their friends, or my robloxian friends, are possibly be exploited by a malicious player or developer. I've also went through my little sisters tablet (Once again don't judge me, I'm 18, I gotta check up on her) and she has gotten many messages on messager from older men and their girlfriends, I said it once and I'll say it again, if someone texts you "My girlfriend said your hot" that's a whole damn trafficking setup, IDC what anyone says, it's 100% a kidnapping setup.

Like a lot of others, I always had a gut feeling that there was more to Alexnewtron than what met the eye and why he'd allow this to happen for so long. This is a reasonable explanation. I thought about this a lot. In some twisted way, he seemed to reason that because Roblox didn't act on these issues, he didn't have to either. If Roblox allowed it, there was nothing to argue about. He pointed his finger at the players and Roblox instead if someone came complaining to him about it. At some point he just went inactive on all his socials and started to ignore the people telling him to fix his game, probably because it was tiring to look at and maybe even stressful. He didn't want to believe the contrary; that he was enabling all this to happen and he in fact was apart of the problem. It was easier for him to ignore it all, update his game normally and just routinely reap the profits. The NSFW stuff drove a lot traffic to his game, and if he believed it wasn't truly his issue, why would he do anything? The idea that he may have been desensitized to all this also contributed to his unwillingness to act. It was all out of sight and out of mind for him. A passive bystander is guilty.

Remember that all the backlash, bypassing, inappropriate behavior and party removal on Meep City could have easily been prevented if Alex hired a Moderation team or a working report system instead of being stubborn and relying on Roblox knowing damn well Roblox reports back then were trashy and always punished the wrong/innocent people 95% of the time. He was already making a living on Meep City regardless, the player count averaged about 100k to a whopping 600k+ from 2016-2021 combined with 90% of players buying the Plus gamepass for parties and other cool benefits, so his team could easily be paid with Robux or Irl Money. Not to mention, Meep City was featured multiple times from Roblox and I think even had sponsorships and MULTIPLE toys (just looked this up and there was like 9 toys related to Meep City lmfao, all between 7 to SIXTY dollars depending on the retailer 💀), AND was the first ever Roblox game to hit 1 Billion visits lmao I myself am a little bummed out about the party removals as I would host Fnaf parties myself back in 2021 and i think around late 2020, and buy alot of stuff to design my estate for them, especially doing the pizza delivery to raise money, and play fnaf music in my parties which was deathly nostalgic, but i do understand why they were removed. Extremely rare W by Roblox tho

You would always need to host during the weekends too if you wanted it to thrive iirc. I always hosted in the mornings after I woke up. I remember buying hella fnaf clothing or stealing mannequin outfits from other fnaf parties to use in mines lol

To be honest, the problem with this isnt that he's a furry, nor that he (supposedly) has an NSFW account. It's that he's a well known public figure that made a game on a platform for children, and is exposing minors to the things he likes. He also linked his NSFW account on his main, which normally wouldn't be that big of a problem, but most people with an NSFW account linking it on their main have a 18+ warning. Alexnewtron didn't. (Please note that I know this is all unconfirmed evidence.)

Thank you. I'm all for keeping kids safe but the frank rampage of purity culture on the internet makes me long for the days of when the internet wasn't a babysitter for children. You do anything public and you're not allowed to do anything else without being grilled for it.

The sad thing is, it wasn't necessarily newtrons fault in the beginning. It was the scum players doing those things. It only became his problem when he didn't act on it straight away.

I remember my older brother and I enjoyed that game a lot. We gained a lot of friends from the parties we joined and made. I'm very glad that he did all he can to avoid the NSFW parties and made sure that every party we joined were all safe hangout and friend parties. No ODing and inappropriate stuff. It's really sad (understatement) how the game ended up.

I used to join parties since 2019 until I log out of roblox in the same year (which was months later) (Not ODing but doing like a normal party) all I do was dancing and eating food there I never online date on roblox since that time bc I was 10-11 that time And yet I still find online dating weird bc we all know who's from behind the scenes tho

I partially agree only because from my understanding, I think its worse then that. It is believed that "God can do anything" so yes god could handle it. And whether or not that is the case it doesn't change the fact that the police was responsible for taking care of the crime (Assuming he was on duty). Now why I think this is worse is because your referring Roblox as God. While God can do anything, Roblox doesn't actually manage or change scripts and assents inside of Roblox experiences. This means even if Roblox were responsible for something inside of an experience, unless they owned the experience (and a few other exceptions), they can't just remove the thing inside the experience. They can only overwrite the experience to a default world or entirely remove the experience from Roblox. Alex Neutron on the other hand, has full control of all the scripts and assets inside of Meep City. So not only is he fully responsible for any inappropriate content in Meep City, but he is capable of making sure it is safe. If what this video has taught us is true, it is insane that Alex Neutron thinks it's not his fault for the content he provides in his game. He might not intentionally or at all break the Roblox Tos with his scripts and assets but to provide content that can be abused to bypass/glitch and achieve something inappropriate should definitly be fixed.

This is actually so weird and sickening to hear about alexnewtron. I used to play meep city innocently back in 2016 when I was 8, having no idea that this was going on with the creator of the game. Later on when parties were added in to the game, I started to notice inappropriate content and It was so confusing that Alex did nothing about it, but it makes sense now.

I personally really like your videos with the voice over and hope you keep that, because I usually watch videos while drawing or playing and It's much better to pay attention to the context without having to read the text.

This is a great point but I also think he knew to some extent what he was doing and he probably realized his game, which might be his only source of income, might start to fail if parties were removed because online daters would look elsewhere like condo games, etc.

I remember playing meepcity, not because of the controversies surrounding it, but because I just liked customizing my house. Oh how blissfully unaware I was...

I think the real epiphany here is that from 2:25 to 2:33 you can see Alexnewtron's Litmus lined clothes clearly changing colors from red, to purple, them blue. This means that this scene means that Alexnewtron's nature, infront of our very eyes, changes from an acidic, to a neutral, and then a basic pH. Truly sinister activity.

Bro it was a part of my childhood in a way lol. This shit is weird when u look back at it, all those games we played when we were younger not knowing the weirdos we were with. It’s kind of like whatever, but when you really think of it, it’s some fucked up shit.

Im so glad as a kid growing up in 2016-2017 I wasn’t exposed to anything like this. Yes, I used to play the game but i was never interested in the whole party thing. Now that I’m older and have discovered all of the inappropriate behavior that was and still is in the game it all makes me sick. Also, the fact that Alexnewtron did nothing about it and let all of those little kids watch that and go through that makes me think he truly didn’t care. He’s a very careless person to think nothing of it and watch them suffer. But I also want to know who in the right mind invented the idea of online dating in a kids game… and to also lead a kid into the wrong direction in life. I’m so very thankful that I never experienced that and I hope it gets fixed soon.

I very appreciate the amount of time you put into the researches, seeing this genuinely made me feel uncomfortably creeped out and gave me a whole new sight about Alexnewtron. may the world of Roblox grow it's ways to peace and will never have to deal issues like these.

The sad thing is, desensitization happens for a lot more cases than what happened with MeepCity - which, in and of itself, was a severe case. Whenever something evil is promoted as something good by someone on such a massive level, it's often because they have let themselves become part of it, and very often arrogantly refuse to be convinced it's wrong even when reason proves otherwise. To make matters worse, they will often persecute people who refuse to accept their views and become corrupt or psychologically scarred themselves. These kinds of folks aren't restricted to the internet - they proactively attack everything good and true at practically every turn, many of which have even been given authority over schools, businesses, and governments alike. All this reminds me of why I am truly blessed to have been protected from the dark side of both television and internet at a very young age. I can't thank my parents enough for saving me from what could have been a horrific road for my life, which would most likely have seen the ruin of my conscience and others' lives being ruined as a result. *If your parents or guardians have ever told you to stay away from stuff that they thought wasn't safe for you to read, watch, listen to, play, etc., this video is a VERY powerful reminder of why.*

Some people think of it as a joke and it’s not serious, I’m telling you the internet changed me and it wasn’t for the better. You don't punish a drunk driver for consuming alcohol, you punish them for the driving that comes after.

i 100% agree with this. i ended up thinking throughout this that the correlation between roblox was way less incriminating than what people seem to think. as long as he himself never partook with that in roblox then i think his ignorance to the problem was the main issue. i almost wonder if this was just to get people mad at what he was doing off platform, because all he ever did that was wrong on platform was just not moderating the parties. what he was doing off platform was a little odd, but i mean its nothing for anyone on youtube to care about, nothing to make a video on.

And watching porn isn't really bade either so take a deep breath and look at the situation with a open mind and see yeah it really isn't that bad, I've seen porn when I was younger and yeah it kind of did affected me but overall I think I had a solid childhood. I'm currently questioning society and life so maybe don't listen to me but whatever.

This reminds me, the party option on meepcity used to allow naming parties and as far as I can remember, the top parties were people looking for dates around that time.

@Why are you here Yeah, lots of kids sometimes are just TOO curious and end up showing themselves something they shouldn’t have seen, I will admit even when I was younger I’d still search for things I was warned not to, completely unaware or maybe even aware of what would happen next. Lots of kids just wanna rebel as a “oh yeah? Lemme show you!” sort of way.

*This also gives some hints to as why the game rarely gets updated, he got tired of hearing about it and removed the parties but its not like he can revert the damages, what he has done has basically ruined his reputations as a roblox dev and person and we have information like this video to further prove this now.*

I think it’s also super interesting to note that Meep City is very clearly inspired by the game Toontown, which was another massive online multiplayer game. It just so happens in that game that your avatar would be a cartoon anthropomorphic animal. This could have gotten alexnewtron interested in furry content as well, or at least could help back up the furry claims.

I agree with the fact he should’ve put more into censorship of the game but I don’t think that he should be critiqued for what he followed, especially since he is an adult. The fact he knew the one person’s age and still asked like he did was also very questionable. idk I probably missed a few point but that’s my general understanding.

I almost fell into an addiction to doing NSFW stuff in MeepCity when I was just 12. I am thankful my little mind got distracted to other games and I unfriended the people who did these things to me and it quickly left my thoughts. As a 16 year old now I cant imagine the horror and confusion that these children experience when they see this. I hope they all can be helped and do their best to play other friendly games. Down with Alexnewtron.

Bullying/Harassment will not permanently remove someone from a game. It's up to Roblox's admins with account moderation access. It's alexnewtron's liability to hire content/game moderators, and present a new report feature, that will allow moderators to review and investigate chat. However, currently that probably won't be implemented due to the lack of care of meepcity's safety.

Fun fact: If you enter the Meepcity Racing sidegame and choose the Mario Kart 7 Music Park looking track, you can still see ad banners from the Disney Pixar 2017 movie, Coco.

Well, that explains just about everything. Alexnewtron's games inherit innuendo, that flew over my head. "Get eaten" is essentially a 'vore" game. I remember seeing a bloxyawards event all the way back. The event featured a 45-60 year old individual inheriting Alex's avatar. Is that him?

The worst thing is, people below 15 years old that get exposed to this kind of things are never, never ever gonna be normal again.

@@xoak_xakonletan I've been a Roblox developer for around 5-6 years and I absolutely agree that all content you as a developer provide, you are responsible for. Alex Neutron might not intentionally or at all break the Roblox Tos with his scripts and assets but to provide content that can be abused to bypass/glitch and achieve something inappropriate should definitely be fixed. The problems seen in Meep City I'd argue are not a hard fix and can be as simple as adding an in game report system. With all the money being made from Meep City, Alex Neutron can afford moderators if he does not wish to monitor Meep City himself.

The lack of action & excuses that Alex did is absolutely disgusting. I used to make parties in meepcity but never for malicious intent. I would only make them for people to listen to music/to chat with other people (not in an online dater way) & would kick the online daters out of my party. This has been a while since I've watched your videos. Great improvement, by the way. I agree that desensitization can add to why Alexnewtron did nothing regarding NSFW content in his game. I'm an adult fantasy and horror writer, and I was taught to put content warnings and restrictions if needed. Sometimes I notice my horror self coming out when I write for teenagers; however, I repress it. I only played his game a few times and got bored quickly. It does not give excuses for exposing NSFW to minors. I have exposed to NSFW roleplay and trigger content (S and S-H) in another game for kids when I was a minor (not saying the game). The report and censor systems have been removed because of abuse and glitches, but players bypassed them anyway. It went outside of the game. It messed me up for years to come, and it made it hard for me to trust. I forgot about his game and didn't noticed it was deleted until you mentioned it in this video.

In my opinion, the reason alexnewtron didn't take action against the party problem was because he simply just didn't care, not because he liked furry nsfw content

It's definitely fun logging in,Going into a random game like a few years ago and then realising this stuff happened randomly a bit after.

A story that isn't fully related to the alexnewtron controversy but still connected to Meep City I have is quite offsetting. My friends and I would often play Meep City (before these awful times of course) and eventually we started drifting off from it. However, one of our "friends" (which is in quotation marks because he was a bit of an asshole to us) kept playing the game. None of us really bothered to be interested in what he was doing, until one of the following years, I believe it was 2020, when one of my friends decided to join him out of curiosity. It was a mistake. Upon joining, my friend discovered he was involved in the nsfw parties and what not. He was under 13 at the time. I am unsure as to what went on there, or if my friend was even telling the truth, but a few months afterwards we noticed his account was terminated from roblox. I do not know of his whereabouts today. We went to the same school, however he transferred to a different school sometime before he started getting involved in the explicit activities. It is disappointing to see this kind of behavior exposed to young children.

Im not gonna lie, I thought you were gonna bring up cowcow again. What I wasn't expecting is a well formatted and overall good video. As someone who has been watching since 2017 it's nice to see how you and your content has grown over the years.

I have defended Alexnewtron in the past, but now it all comes together. It never really made much sense to me on why Alexnewtron never took action in any way, but now it makes sense. You know, I always have had an idea in my head for a "Meepcity X" of some sorts. With actual moderating, a certain form of ID (You could submit for a higher level in ID to get beds and other furniture back, otherwise no beds or marble support beams.) , and more.

I agree that, initially, seems like "damn, don't they know adult people have a sexual life besides working the making of games for an infant Demographic?". But it's far deeper than that, so rewatch the video. He became so exposed to the porn that he didn't see anything wrong with sexual stuff being IN GAME, which is mostly played by kids. Honestly Meepcity has felt weird ever since the party area was removed It’s like seeing a train crash, only for all evidence of it to just be erased next day. You’re glad it’s gone but now it feels empty

I remember when I used to play MeepCity way back when it exploded, like in 2016, and I loved it. I had no idea of these parties and often just talked to random people online, and fortunately I wasn't exposed to any inappropriate content.

I always thought that Alexnewtron didn't do much about the disgusting things going on in Meep City because he simply didn't care, but now that I see the truth, I'm shocked and disgusted.

Shoutout to all the KZreadrs who pointed out the bad stuff in Meepcity and helped get parties removed, because regular reports don't do anything.

I used to always play meepcity fnaf parties when these people weren’t in abundant amounts. Its sad that nobody will ever experience something like that again.

To be honest, when I first played Meep City, 3 years ago, I thought Alex was just a really cool dev. I didn't visit parties back then, so I was unaware what was actually going on.

Honestly this is really upsetting and disturbing for me as when I was younger playing meep city (2018 - 2020) nothing strange was happening for me and it used to be my favorite game. It was like my free bloxburg for me. That's how I used to see it at least. But now seeing this, it makes me think about the games I used to play.

Now possibly seeing that Alexnewtron and his odd whereabouts in the furry fandom and how that has become a thing really anyone could access, that is just depressing, isn't it? Being a furry myself, everyone has the weird things they like, but never would you want that to become something that could disturb others. This man managed to disrespect Roblox, Twitter, the furry fandom and other things. To anyone reading this, have an alright day and remember the internet is a wild, untamed and insane place.

This makes me feel lucky I never joined a MeepCity party ever and that I've forgotten about the game with time. Thanks myself but mostly thanks for this informative video, it really helped.

Alexnewtron also used to work for a Toontown private server "Toontown Rewritten" near the beginning/early days of it in 2013. He was fired from it due to posting pictures from the game where he used profanity and/or NSFW language from within the game. Nothing too big but worth noting.

The fact that he always ignored and neglected the nsfw problem with his own game all because of the potential desensitivity he gained from looking at furry nsfw is honestly disappointing. If that is the case, then it without a doubt is disappointing, that's all I can really say. I myself never really even played MeepCity, I only tried it once. And the time that I did, I decided to go ahead and just glance at the parties tab, and right off the bat I realized how unhinged it was. Having your own personal life is fine, being into furry art, nsfw or sfw is fine, but when you let your interests (or potentially even desires/addiction(s)) get in the way of something MORE than yourself, something that involves strangers, an audience, a majority of mostly young children, that's where the line has to be drawn. It's saddening to know that he didn't care for his game whatsoever, more aless the countless number of innocent minded children who play it being exposed to horrible things on a daily basis. I've seen the majority of your MeepCity videos, and I will say with full confidence none of them hit as hard as this one did, the fact you're bringing this to a vast audience is a great thing, letting people know is the first step to preventing something like this from happening twice. Overall, amazing video, I loved the structuring of it, and I loved the narration ^^

The fact that Alexnewtron profits off the NSFW activities that are still taking place today is another factor contributing to his lack of interest in them. You see, you get paid when a player enters your game, and the roleplayers who are responsible for the NSFW continue to do so. He benefits financially from it, so he doesn't care whether it causes harm to young people.

It's just disturbing how popular Roblox players (content creators and developers) always get themselves in these type of stuff and then get caught even if it has been months or years.

Alexnewtron should be terminated for not caring about the game. I don't know how meepcity is still on the platform.
