I am a Harley rider with my 2017 street glide and a 2007 road King before that. Indian is my next rodeo due to the more maintenance aspect of their bikes. Indian bikes have single hole oil fill and drainage, gear drive primary, and full counter balancing.

As an owner of a 2020 SDH, I can tell you that I LOVED the aesthetics. Everything else, well, needed an upgrade. Within a few months I had about $7k in upgrades. Definitely needed the windshield, heel shifter, heated grips, backrests, etc. Dont regret spending a single dime on it though. Fantastic bike, and quite the head turner (especially with the sagebrush green paint).

Lol, "I identify as a little bit taller." Love the videos! Your reviews helped me decide to buy my 2020 Roadmaster Dark Horse. I've had her just over 2 weeks and already have put over 700 miles on her cruising around after work. Keep up the great content!!

I have a 2022 SDH and LOVE the bike. Like you said, it's a minimalist setup and I like that. I have made a few mods, but not many. I liked the fact that it comes stock with nearly all my needs met. Double check your video. I don't know if you intended the 360 footage to come out like it did. If you did, great, I'm just not a fan of that view.

A solid video. You did your homework. Very comprehensive. And very informative. I was very close to buying one of these. Then I found out how much it would cost to add a matte finish black smoke valenced front fender. Which I love. So, I passed. And bought a new Chiftain. Then got stupid. And spent thousands to transform it with OEM parts are the dealer for the Roadmaster set up. Ok in the end. I own a HD Fatboy. So buying a similar bike to it didn't make a lot of sense. But the Springfield is a gorgeous bike no matter what. Very capable. Lower weight. Etc. Thanks for taking us along.

Great review!! I just purchased my 2023 to go next to my sportbike😅. 5’10 I think you nailed it being more comfortable for being taller. The minimal electronics is what appealed to me. No need for screens and all that. It’s just the bike me and the road. The only thing I don’t like so far is that gap you mentioned with the exposed wires.

Bought a '23 Springfield Dark Horse in March. Compared to the Scout Bobber I had before that, it's definitely a Cadillac. My good friend and riding buddy has a Softail. The running joke when we're together is that people trip over themselves to walk past the Harley to check out and compliment the Injun.

Thorough and objective as always, dude - great job! This has been my favorite Indian over the last few years, actually, but I'm biased toward the minimalist look because I've got a '23 Road King Special. For me, the decision was the ability to customize, dealer network, and the mechanics at LCHD, all of whom I get along well with and think are super talented. I was nervous for ya when that right mirror came loose, but you dealt with it and moved on. Another thing I love about this video is your realness and humility when you stalled. SOOOOO many YT'ers would've edited that out, but the fact that you kept it in demonstrates your good and honest character. Mad respect!! ✌🤘

I've recently got a 2017 Springfield. I don't like the dark look and its obviously a rip off as they take away things and charge more. The things that I like over a RK is the vastly superior suspension, more room (Harley's always feel cramped (I'm 5-10)) and ground clearance. I just added some Rinehart slip ons. On the 111 ci engine they've made an incredible difference, in terms of noise and power.

I don't have a whole lot of knowledge on it, but from what I understand from riders, getting rid of the heal shift might be in response to complaints that the heal shift causes damage issues to some delicate part of the bike or the shifting mechanism itself that wouldn't become an issue with just a standard shifter. In my own limited experience, using a heal shifter I had issues with either being more likely to skip gears... luckily not while actually in motion, or not being able to tell if I even actually shifted at all. Maybe it's just the boots I wear, but I don't have a problem when just using the toe shift. Not really on topic here, but in some of your videos it looks like you're in Ladson with the possibility of also going to Lincolnville. I used to live in Goose Creek.

Rider with 47+ years experience, 6ft 2" / 2022 Springfield (Maroon/Red 111CI) in factory setting / Most perfect bike ever made period! I have come all the way up from 15cc / 50 cc and building, repairing, trading, exchanging, making things and all the way from relatively difficult era of post-war period where there was NOTHING and everything you've got, you got to APPRECIATE (or to make it yourself and appreciate even more) AND, I must tell you my Western friends - STOP WHINING! It bugs me a lot, HOW unappreciative you constantly seem to me, ROTTEN SPOILED by FINE things in historic West, YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN, where you came from so MAN UP, Shut Up and RIDE, Enjoy the Journey and STOP whining about things! If something is not to your liking - MAKE CHANGES, CUSTOMISE, REBUILD... THE PERFECT bike DOES NOT exist anywhere, you gotta EARN it by making it!
