The Dark Family Scandals Of The Georgian Viscounts Of Bangor | Historic Britain | Absolute History

Join Alan to discover a house of split personalities that bore witness to lunacy, attempted murder, and later the ground-breaking work of pioneering 19th-century scientist, Mary Ward. The drama doesn’t end there, as historian Suzannah Lipscombe learns about Castle Ward’s role in Game of Thrones and gets hands-on making swords with the TV show’s armorer. 20 miles away, Nina Wadia joins the team at Murlough National Nature Reserve to search for butterfly larvae.

This family would make a great Netflix series. Stephen Fry as the Viscount. Olivia Colman as Lady Anne. Jude Law as Nicholas. Huge Grant as Edward. David Tenant as Robert. Just let me know who the other characters would be and I can cast it for you!

These are my ancestors!!!!! My grandparents died before we got the few remaining stories they had over here in the States. Crazy to see how the family resemblance is even still there in all the male relatives. Also crazy to hear the stories for the first time ever accidentally on KZread! Very thankful to have found this. Also, FYI, the "lunacy" was not bred out, still tons of anxiety, depression, and even some personality disorders on that side of the family.

Poor Lady Anne. I had hopes when at first I saw how she was at least given half control over the house design and decor. Her husband didn’t even have to allow that. He could’ve taken her and the money and he owned both. But he must’ve treated her cruelly for her to say what she did in her diary.

Such an incomplete episode. Who was the youngest child the wife took when she left the estate (built with her family's money btw) and what happened to that child? l also would've liked to know where the 2 mills where on that estate since l'm guessing they'd be near that canal near the ice house.

It's not long off before these estates start generating money. The society needs to know which ones to maintain as museums, and spend a lot of money restoring those, the ones which are better as schools, become schools, and the ones which are better as follies, become folly museums. I think it's purple because it's rich merrymint and beautiful. Why have a domineering force? For many reasons, this is one of the houses which needs to be preserved as a museum. Need a wood chipper for the goss and start to use it as compost. It's like organic coal, you don't burn it, I'm going to use coal to make diamond glass in Spain. Elder Scrolls game is preceded by a series of each Elder Scrolls game up to Skyrim. So, each series or season is different, and I am going to sell it to the largest bidder, could be Amazon, Apple, or Netflix. Gives us 5 years to develop the next game, while making money and generating fans for the game all the way to the game's launch.

They should sell that house to folks who need a place to live, not a summer getaway. Times are changing man, the days of Lord and Lady So-and-So are over. There are too many people on the planet to sustain that nonsense. Things are getting really... interesting to say the least, and "the poors" are getting restless. When the poors get restless they need to be accommodated to keep the peace. Its amazing to see how out of touch the uber wealthy are.
