Technically Gon is just back to square 1 in a state before he learned nen. I imagine he'd have to retrain to get his abilities back or even get new ones. I feel like Gon and Killua's story hasn't ended yet, Gin taking a trip to the DC kinda means that Gon would have to do so as a challenge and Nanika having a connection to the DC would mean Killua has to get involved too.

Problem with that is if Gon knows of nen, and that one of the ways to awaken new is to have it infused, he surely would have already done it. Bet that a plot point is either going to be that he was essentially reincarnated, and his new bodies nen is completely foreign to his feelings and understandings of it. Other bet is that he still has all of the nen, but noone is dumb enough to infuse into him because opening the 3k psi valve of nen into his repaired bodies 10psi rated 'veins' would be tantamount to murder/death. This would be especially bad for Gon as he knows there is a way to protect his family, but the path towards getting there is so long that he would struggle to justify going down it lest others end up like Kite

The Hunter association is an absurd concept when you take a few steps back. It makes a lot more sense when you think of Calamities and the Dark continent, perhaps the hunter exam and the lifestyle is a system put in place to select the ones strong enough to survive on that Dark continent

Just found this channel and the other main channel, and I LOVE your content. Very well informed, and delivery of information is entertaining.

I wonder if the real reason aura users are so rare despite the numerous ways it can be obtained and is openly used is because aura users throughout the recent history were recruited and possibly illegally trafficked for the expeditions and died. What if the hunter association was originally created for the purpose of gathering talented Aura users for an eventual expedition?

You may be right on that, because there would technically be no other reason to create a hunter exam, and the main meaning of being a hunter is hunters hunt things such as monsters, treasure, ect. It's similar to a military, you get a LOT of benefits, but in return you have to fight and you may die doing that... It also explains why a hunter license lets you get whatever you want pretty much to let your goals be reached to be the best, and when you're the best, it gets to your head to where you'd feel like you're able to take on the dark continent ... Wow lmao

Great video, but wanted to mention two points. One, wasn't Hellbell a two-tailed snake rather than two-headed? But I'm glad you got it's venom's effect right, plenty of people confused it as just a deadly venom. Two, this is more of speculation, but I do wonder if that picture is just Brion, or Brion is taking over someone's body/eating it's head. If I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct me. I was slighty suprised I didn't see anyone mention this before me.

One thing I just theorized: all expeditions using a guide that successfully returned were forced to bring back a threat. We don't know if unsanctioned expeditions, like the one of Netero, used guides. Guides may only be a necessity for comparably unqualified personnel, so Netero along Zoldyck and the third member we saw might not have needed them, or might not have had access to them. But what if they had one? The most boring answer would be that the threat they needed to bring back was Nanika, a part of the 'ai.' In this case, we would have a repeat of a previous threat. Given that Alluka is Killua's sister, it stands to reason that she isn't the first host of Nanika. My guess would be that the Zoldycks transfer Nanika to a new host after a given period of time, but that is just speculation. But what if the threat was the journal? A roadmap to exploring the dark continent that would tempt the nations of the known world to send more expeditions, thinking- mistakenly- that they now have a chance of a better outcome?

I would like to see the ocean outside the dark continent, as well as the other continents on the planet. But still though it's crazy how the countries in lake mobius is just a collection of huge continents; inside an enormous lake, which is in the center of a many times more enormous continent; which dwarf the lake at it's center. I wanna see the other continents on the surface of the planet, or is it just the Dark continent with the rest of the planet covered in water.

One thing I never understood was how survivors of those expeditions brought a calamity back with them. With each having a body count spanning hundreds how do you contain and transport something like that? I'm confused.

I think Alluka (Nanika) already made that happen. It was with the wish from Killua. So Gon is back to how he was before he knew anything about nen.

his nen works on any and all he wants its only that one chain of the 5 that he uses that can only be used on phantom troupe. i fairly sure its a death sentence if he uses that one chain on non member cause its that vow that gives that chain its strenght but that vow doesnt affect the other 4.

They’re just beasts that use nen naturally. There’s nothing magical about them. They likely got the name because most people don’t know about nen. Someone without the knowledge of nen coming across one of these beasts would probably see them as magical.

I have a weird relation with the creator of HxH, on one hand I like his work but on the other hand I kind of hate him for not being able to just hire an illustrator to keep his work going. I know it's his passion project and he wants to do it himself but his health does not agree with him and the franchise being as popular as it is kinda brings a responssabilities to the fan to deliver the work. Nothing stops him to help with the illustrations when he's healthy enough to do it but if he's not, he should just drop the work unto someone else. The dude suffers from chronic back pain, not cancer ffs.

Is it confirmed that Gon had no Nen anymore? I thought Nanika didn't have any limitation while granting wishes

yeah gon has no nen at this point in the story im sure he will get it back somehow but for now he doesnt

Ging said his aura is fine, but because the wish was to 'turn Gon back to normal" he was reset to pre-nen awakening. Gon would have to start over again.

@@MegaDman16 it wouldn’t be hard for him to relearn, he understands the recipes to strengthening his nen, he’d easily build it up in no time.

it's gon, and it would undermine the entire power system if he got it back. nen is great because everything comes at a cost, if gon were to get it back after making a pact like he did. everything would meaningless from then on. plus gon and killua had their time in the sun. it's time for the other 2 to get their turn.

Lol, is Killua really off doing Assassin stuff elsewhere? For awhile I thought he broke the habit to instead care for his sister, although... assassinations pay the bills, I suppose.

Yeah idk why he said that about Killua. Killua is done as an assassin. He doesn't even need money. Remember, a hunter license provides a massive line of credit. Worst case he could just fight professionally for money somewhere.

@@Stryker1297 Yeah, made me double take for a moment. It contradicts all we know of Killua up till we last saw him. Could he be an Assassin again one day? Maybe, but it would be on his own terms, and not in the way his family expected for him.

Killua isn't off doing any assassin work at all. He's traveling with his sister that's it... I have no idea where he's getting some of these facts from.

@@MegaDman16 NCHammer does tend to take liberties with the lore, from what I understand. His information is informative, but not absolute canon compliance. For example, his hatred of Sasuke and seeing him as the worst character is incredibly subjective, as there are just as bad characters. He has this habit of narrowing his view on some things and jumping through hoops to reach his desired end point, and makes his points sometimes contrived. Like in a recent video, he scoffed at Sasuke being as powerful as Naruto. And he's right, if being powerful just meant quantity of powers or raw power. Skill is a definition point of combat ability, as is tactical ability. His argument only becomes relevant if you trim away other relevant points to highlight those that are needed for his argument. Like a scientist altering an experiment continuously to reach their theory, rather than testing their theory against practical application like an experiment is supposed to be. The only logical deduction I reach is this: Killua's most defining feature is as an assassin, so he must be doing something assassin-like in his past time, otherwise it breaks the premises of his character. Meanwhile, I look back at all the times that Killua has fought and think that this point likely isn't true at all, because Killua hasn't relied on his Assassin training for all his interactions or fights. Even that of the training which he uses passively, became a part of him and not part of being an assassin.
